95 C27a4 Cranks, won't fire, has spark and fuel
Had a blown head gasket. Tried to replace it. Got to 27lbs torque and 3/8 head bolts stripped. Picked up a junkyard motor with good block. Junkyard gave me a whole engine excluding accessorys and distributor. Dropped junkyard motor in.
Engine turns over, refuses to start. Decent spark, plenty of fuel. Exhaust is off for oilpan gasket replacement. Replaced crank and cam sensors. Timeing is good. It has been a long day so let me know what else you need to know. I don't have a code reader, check engine light is not on.

The motor with the blown head gasket ran fine btw. So I have all of the relative parts from the old engine. Also since I was planning on doing the head gasket I have all the pertinent gaskets and seals. I am a parts changer not a diagnostic guy.

Recheck the fireing order. Also be sure when engine is at TDC #1 that the dist rotor is pointing to the #1 terminal on the cap.

Done and done. I am completely at a loss here. I am guessing I have a broken wire somewhere in the harness, funky injectors, or a bad sensor? To my knowledge, which is very limited, the crank and cam sensors are the only ones that will not allow the engine to fire.

You need to see what the code is, you can rent them from parts store for free if you have a deposit.
But, if you have fuel and spark the only other things are timing and compression.

Bgdriver, thanks for responding but no codes. I did solve the mystery though.
All I had to do was appease the Car Gods. I asked the same question on my fb. Got the standard "check your plug wires are in the right order". Man am I sick of reading/asking my self this question. My response was to try to start the car. No such luck. I cursed and tantrumed and shook the car about. Had the wife turn it over and it started. Guess my issue wasn't enough blood spilled. I ripped a knuckle clean off in my tantrum. First bloody injury in the process. Yay sacrifice!
Hopefully when I actually find what the issue was I can inform the world.
