It will not knock by using regular octane on 6 and4 cylinder.
read the manual and it will tell you what you need.

Re: (honda-man)
read the manul, your accord does NOT require anything but unleaded regular gas....if your car knocks on regular fuel you need to either
change gas stations
or
have the car checked out........as something is a miss with it

Re:
The manual calls for 87 octane. I've never heard any knocking w/ 87 octane, even with the A/C on. I'd imagine you'd lose power by using a higher octane than what the manual calls for.

get the supreme. if you get regular your car will work three times as hard as it should be. Plus is alittle better. but if you want your car to perform and last longer use the supreme

Has anyone dyno tested 87 octane vs. 91/92 octane? I know, for example, premium does make more power in the EP3 (2002+ Civic Si), even though the manual calls for 87 octane. However, I've yet to see any dynos for the Accord V6 showing an increase in performance from using a higher octane gas.

I doubted but here some little something i want to share..
if you use high octane from day1 after a while your car can no longer
use lower octane because it's adapt to perform/function with the higher rating

ok guys they did a study at the site that used to be accordv6.com and they found that the car made LESS power on higher octane fuel....

When times are hard I use regular, but the majority of the time I use premium and every so often I drop in some fuel treatment just to keep things burning clean.

this is total BS and you are talking out of your ***. Please actually know what you are talking about before you post. The accord v6 has a low compression engine, anything higher than 87 will lead to imcomplete combustion.
So you are saying imcomplete combustion is a good thing?

This is what I've been saying. Incomplete combustion is going to yield less power, and produce more emissions.

It's true. I used premium when I first got my bottle and the car drove like ****. The car tends to pull harder with regular. With the low comp you should only use regular.
