1990 Accord ignition problem...and over heating...
1 - My wife has a 1990 Accord. It'll turn over most of the time, but every so often it won't do nothing. We click it a few times and it'll start. Other times we can click and click and it won't go till we boost it. It does it when it's cold, hot, sat all night, just used 10 minutes ago. There is no pattern to it what so ever. The only consistant thing is the fact that it will start with a boost, every time. We changed the starter and the battery. Oh yeah, and after trying to start it after too long, it will drain the battery, whixh is usually when we boost it. Please help.
2 - We have changed the water pump and thermostat. It seems fine on the freeway, but once we are on the road it heats up. We turn on the heater to relieve some of the heat and it goes down, but we usually have to leave it on low for it not to heat up again. The radiator was checked and we were told it was fine. Of course I know from experience that something can "check-out" and still be the problem until changed out. Please help.
