hahaha, well, i just drove there with some friends and decided to run for the hell of it. i ran my car as is with no modification done to it. i didnt burn out. i ran a crappy *** consistent 14.7s, but i aint too sad. im actually pretty content with my times.

stock jdm b18c
stock airbox
full exhaust
Skunk2 manifold
Mugen 4-1 header
crappy tires

and some other goods. nothing too major.
oh yeah, it was kinda sprinkling at first, but it wasnt so much rain to call it quits at the track.

im going back in a couple of weeks with a better set-up though! hopefully to get consistent low 14s

Welcome to the jdm itr swap club. Everyone tries to figure out while our 60 foot times are so high but the times are still in the 14s...

The first thing they post in their comparison mods is (Kenji Chipped/P28 reprogrammed ECU) ;P

There ya go... That means you guys are hitting vtec at about 4xxx-5xxx (normal tuners)...

I and I'm guessing you as well are running the jdm itr ecu which means no vtec till 6k rpm's. Yes, thats the stock jdm itr vtec engagement point So when drag racing, or racing in general, it seems like your not even racing for the first few seconds till you get around there... given the shorter gears does help get there a little faster.

But then again, I guess thats nice when your cruising on the highway around 5k already because of the gearing/final drive. So then again, maybe its for the best.

Good times btw... My best was 14.59 though it would be nice to go back today after mods/better tires.

actually, i have a JDM B18C (Jap GSR motor). i also have a CTR tranny, Kenji OBD2b-OBD1 conversion harness, and a P72 with a "Mugen" chip, so my vtec kicked in at 5500 and i shifted at around 8500.
