That looks pretty good! I always wondered why they never made cooling plates for EF

Is it not worth it or a space issue?

I would say both.
The ef hood does have that sharp curve at the end which is like a top diversion plate.

I just made this one for the hell of it.

I'm more likly going to change out that top piece for a different one I'm making which will allow small amount of air to "bypass" the top core of the FMIC.

^^Buddy says it is the part of the harness that connects to under the dash. Dont remove it if thats what your thinking, haha. Try looking at your engine harness, you should be able to figure out what it connects to pretty easily.

Been messing with EFs for years yet you have no idea about anything. Only thing you can point out is overspray.

Its the plug for the fuel injectors, it runs to the resistor box into the cab and over to the ecu. I think idle air control along with AIT temp sensors maybe be on it.

Just wanted to pop in and say HI to everyone even though I know a hand full of the main guys in this thread don't like me much. Been a good while since I've really been on HT. My sedan has been collecting dust in a storage garage along with a RHD clip. I've been putting a lot of emphasis in modding my Volkswagen that the EF has taken a serious backseat...

The clip is for sale. And the plans have changed for my EF to painting it, caging it, and beating the **** out of it on the track. But even that may not go as planned if I land a job in New York... Hope everyone is doing well, as well as all of your friends and families.

Still kind of keeping my touch with the Honda's with my fiancee's Integra, but even with that I'm not sure how long she will keep it since she is considering selling it in favor of a MKIV VR6 Jetta. Kind of sucks because it's such a clean car for it's age and she's the second owner, but Happy Wife (well atleast almost lol) Happy Life...

Take care guys I'll try and swing by every now and again.

Yup, unfortunately...

Thanks bud, still alive and kicking for now. Working two jobs has me have little to no social life.

And lolz at selling the teg to finish the sedan! That wouldn't fly with her, tried getting her to trade it for a RHD sedan way back when and she laughed! My VW isn't all that old though...

Still have one more year to finish paying it off Trying to finish up getting my Porsche/Viper brake set up so I can do some real canyon runs because brake fade is a bitch even with the OE GLI set up... Here is a somewhat recent pic...

thanks boosted chemist.

@rob - i dont care about the overspray. its not a show car and i repainted the entire engine bay in my garage with limited supplies. im very happy with how it came out. when im driving my car, the last thing im thinking about is overspray on a fuel line

Do you still have any rear interior in your car? Is it possible at all to keep the interior with a roll bar in the hatchbacks?

My interior is stripped. It is possible depending on the rollbar, you just gotta cut holes in the panels

Got a llittle work done last night. Removed the head. Looks to be a fresh head gasket and water pump. ARP head studs, still has perfect cross-hatching from a hone. Such a shame this motor didnt hold up, it was running so well and looks to be a very fresh rebuild. They just botched the rod bearings and ruined it all. Will hopefuully get around to removing the block from the car so I can remove and inspect the crank and rods. Crossing fingers they can be reused so I can get this thing back together!

Thanks and no kidding, there wasnt a SINGLE drop of oil on it anywhere. It sucks having to take it all apart. Hopefully it will be the same once it all goes back together.

Damn i didn't know you were running a JRSC DOHC ZC too, I'd be interested to see what kind of numbers you end up getting out of it.
