I've got a lot of friends with VWs and they are a complete nightmare compared to Hondas. The wearable items wear way quicker than normal and the parts are expensive and harder to find. I love the way the look and sound, but too much trouble for me. #I'mLazy

Sister had a brand new '03 Jetta and it was a pile of GARBAGE. She thought, in '08, it would be a great idea to trade it in for a Passat. What a pile of GARBAGE.

...SHE NOW OWNS A HONDA. Hahaha.

Brought my body kit side skirts to the body shop today. Fenders should be done next week. This is the first time my 23 year old car has had the side skirts unbolted and the fenders unbolted.

Also ordered these (15x8, +35). Too many people have been cracking/bending 949's so I'm going to try something different.

Nope. Two track buddies of mine have had issues. Any wheel will have issues. This is just my excuse to run the PF01's because not too many people do. I haven't had an issue with my 949's, but I don't drive crazy on track and have multiple offs. I'm also delicate on the berms.

Just inspect them like you would any other wheel (and always run steel lug nuts). Again, I never had any problems, but I'm not an animal on track. I'll still be running my 949's on track...the Enkei's are a second set of track wheels/rubber

X2, my one buddy loves VW's but says they are total POS's. Makes me wonder what he loves about them then

Nice! I opted to leave my entire front end on, sans the hood, when doing the swap and tuck. It certainly made it much more difficult, but I wanted to maintain the OEM front end fitment. Worth it in the end.

I can't wait to see yours finished. What are they doing as far as paint work?

You can modify the OEM sedan bumper support and bolt an EF9 bumper on. It's not perfect, but it fits. That blue sedan, though, has the entire EF9 front end, which I believe is rather custom and may require some welding.

They are painting the OEM JDM bumper, the J's bumper, the J's fender flares, and the side skirts. They'll also paint the custom piece to fill in part of the fender behind the wheel (like the J's car).

I still haven't decide, but I may have them paint the wing end-plates to match the body color. Hmmmmm

Opened up a dispute on paypal for AFI. No doubt they're a good company but 37 days from when I placed my order and no response to my emails regarding a freeze plug I ordered…that's just no good. They could be the top fabrication company when it comes to turbos, but bad customer service ruined it for me.
