Check it out, caster is visibly off...
I think I have some factory radius rods in the garage that I don't use. If you pay for shipping they're yours.

The rear uca's can be had pretty cheap. If you get the front Skunk A-arms, let me know and I'll send you some bolts I picked up. I sent a set to someone on here already since I had to order a box of 50 and have no use for most of them. They're 10mm heads instead of allen heads and stronger hardware so they won't slip. I still haven't picked up my skunk a-arms, but when I do at least I'll have the better hardware

As for spring rates...hmmmmmm. When I get a DB8 in a few months I'm thinking about 450f/400r. That's pretty stiff though. You could do 400f/450r or even 350f/400r would be cool too. Are you running a rear sway? I'm thinking no...that's why I mention the higher rates in the rear.

That would be great. I guess I should change out what I can and try to narrow the problem down. From the eye ball test (both mine and the alignment tech) we couldn't see what exactly is bent. For what it's worth, steering was turned almost completely to the right lock when I slid through a huge patch of mud into a curb.

No sway, don't think it's necessary. I want to do a rear disc conversion and some nicer looking LCAs.

I would suggest a aftermarket traction bar so you can dial back the caster. I run revo upper control arms in the front and gc coil overs w/ koni yellows w/ the top hats. I would recommend them but get the ots spring rates and not something like 7k+ front or 10.5k+ rear for rr or autox setup.

My knowledge is not as advanced as Nick's or some others on suspension.. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a good rate for my CRX and after talking to a guy from Ground Control I went with 400 Front and 300 Rear. I am yet to test it out so I cant offer actual experience but just trying to give you an idea. I personally think Im going to want something stiffer now that I have done more research, but Im sure it will do fine for the mean time. I dont plan to street the car and I will be using a rear sway along with a ton of other goodies. I like that I can just order a stiffer spring and there easy enough to swap out if I find its too soft or too stiff.. I have always herd good things of Koni/GC combos and have seen them hold up under a lot of abuse as well.

.

Is it common that the Skunk2 hardware is cheap on those arms? How much for 8 of those bolts? ( I hate allen heads)

konis just last forever (and have quite a warranty).

i actually have revalved konis with EBAY coil sleeves (just the sleeve), with rates i picked (went through a lot of them). i love my free ebay sleeves, they are better than GC sleeves, IMO (less prone to freezing up, and easier to un-freeze if they do, not to mention CHEAP)

might want to look that route. get a set of the 35 buck sleeves, get some konis, and pick you rates of springs (lots of individual springs out there from race companies, soft, stiff, etc)

I didn't run a rear sway for a looooooooong time. If you even care about rear rotation without a sway, you can bump up the rear spring rates.

I don't think it's cheap, I've just heard stories about upper a-arms slipping. Those stories are not specific to skunk products. I just bought these for added piece of mind...not to mention it's easier to tighten the 10mm instead of an allen head. You send me your address and I'll mail them over.

I've never had a problem out of the Blox products I've used...Haven't used their suspension pieces though.

Weaksauce is apparently giving away FF LCAs when you buy the FF coilovers. I've heard good things, but probably not as much good as GC/Koni. I'm still undecided because I don't want to overspend for a 20 year old daily driver. I must be getting old, I can't throw down jack without remorse like I used to.

Will that still be effective if something is bent? It seems like I should start with the radius rods and try to go from there to determine what is bent. I'm thinking it might be the LCA.

Are you running on the OEM LCA with original bushings in them? I would take a look at that old rubber...My first 91 Hatch had a similar problem and along tear down the bolt going through the LCA and Subframe(piece that rear mount and steering rack bolt onto) was frozen in and the bushing in that part was wrecked (very had to see in there if it is not removed) The front arm itself is pretty thick, I cant see bending that unless the car has had an impact. I would try pulling them down and checking the rubber... radius rods cant hurt and some no names cant hurt the pockets.

He said he had the wheel locked in one direction when he hit a curb so that's what i'm assuming may have bent something.
