I have just picked up an 88 Sedan LX Auto, and I have an 88 DX manual as a parts car.....am I stupid for wanting to use the parts car for the auto-to-manual swap???

How clean is the DX? Doesnt sound stupid to me. Unless the DX is clean and running then ill buy it.

 

The DX is beat to **** but it still runs and drives. It has no interior other than two front seats. The rear doors do not open and the windows do not roll up or down. The motor is ready to blow as I drove it with 1/2 quart of oil to keep it from smoking. I had to get to work safely and without being pulled over for smoky car.

I am going to take a bunch of **** from it and then from there, I might part it out for you guys on here.

As for the trans swap....it is not like I have to part the thing together. I have everything from my 1999 EX trans with a new clutch, to all the lines and correct linkages and everything that it takes to have a manual trans. The parts car still drives and runs, but very, very, very badly.

Oh yea use all that ish then. Id use the cable tranny. Im not positive, but i dont think the 99 EX clutch will work.

 

No, the 99 clutch won't work. Maybe I mis-heard the kid I bought it from, but it looks brand spakin new. Maybe it is a trans for an 88-91 but was replaced in 99. LOL

There are no grinds, and no problems. The chassis does have 204K on the ticker.

I've always been a firm believer in "it's your car, do what you want with it". It can still look nice with fake ****. Hell, I'm rocking wheels that cost a total of $81.xx! (wheels, paint, sandpaper, tape)

 

yeah i just like **** to look clean...not overdone or busy .....MadJdm **** YO is really overrated to me....unless its some R.C. Stark Carvings Black with a PurPle Lip (christmas wish)....I really like buying new things too...so a new wheel vs. a used wheel that some dude in japan has monkeyfucked is a plus to me

Yeah they are 16's, the wheels have some chips but some white touchup will cure that.

 

seen alot of fits w/ 17s or 18s and i really dont like anything bigger than a 16 on them.
what size tire comes stock on them and what do you have on it now?

Yeah, I agree but there are some that can pull of 17's but I wasn't going to try it.

205/45/16 now
195/55/15 before
