Gotta do the doors too. I need to put mine on and weigh the 89 doors on my crx. I cut the side impact beam from my 88 doors. They weigh nothing. The impact beams were a good 25-30lbs each. Now I need to start building my cage, and install harnesses, but I think that is gonna be next year, so I gotta swap some 88's in too! Chassis Mounted belts FTW!!!

I was told I should have cut out a sqaure where the hole is and then weld the nut on the other side, then weld the sqaure back in place. This would be the most effective way to accomplish it without haveing to cut your plastic rear pillar panels.
you live and learn...atleast everyone else knows incase they want to do it.
i'm already in to deep

yeah he did make a stupid comment about that in which he knew nothing about...but nor i because i never messed with a CRX.
all you need to do is find a 88 CRX (I guess you guys said something about 89 have door mounted belt to but I unno), take the doors from it and the seat belts and rear panels and start working from there.
It not to hard of a swap.
make sure you line up the door right though.

that should be easier to get.
88 or 89 one in the same when it comes to seat belts mounting.

LOL
the doors should already have door panels on them

if not just use your old 90-91 panels. Most cases you find a 88-89 door you will also find a cracked up leather door panel that needs to be redone.
Or just get some uB3R jdm door panels from eBay.

thats what i meant
that if i dont find good ones for the door mount belts...( the 91 doors are worked primed , and ready for paint)

but if I cant find door panels i might just have to toss the 91 doors and start over on the door thing...

oh yeah I ordered *** word fenders....ima try them. if they dont fit, meh I got a sebon hood too...so nothings prolly gonna fit right.....good thing I spent a year aligining porsche panels at a body shop...lol

If u don't run interior, you can weld the nut on the outside of the pillar. That is what I will do. My car will never have interior in the back again. I have some blue 88 door panels I don't need if anyone wants. They were off a 88 CRX DX, I got my doors from. I might have some black units for sale. If I decide to do the suede interior like I want to. My friend has a 996 x50 TT AWD. That car is phenomenal. It makes 550whp now, and had 19" SSRs, but the interior is my favorite part.

Not unless you wire it to work with a cluster that takes a reading from electric VSS (DC, EG, EK cluster); more importantly to you James, it'll work with an SiR cluster. Funny story, I told my friend who also frequents the site and board how you'd never redlined and he giggled </TD></TR></TABLE>

and for the record I did redline my car once.
I don't remember if i had the z6 swap in or the d15b2 but the engine fell complete flat on its face afterwards.
I had one of those big *** tach with the shift lights and light went off but I was still pushing it and then the car just felt dead.
I almost wanted to pull over and start crying because i thought i killed my motor cause I had never done that b4.
motor was fine but since then never again would I redline.

I was racing a 92 SE-R too on the street.

My ZC's never lasted long enough to want to use them.

I have a Z6 on the other hand and it is a bullet proof unit. I reved it to 7500 daily repeatedly for 3 years now.

Spun bearing. Never lasted longer than 4-5 months. I had 2 of them. All my friends that have had ZCs blew up in some way or another. It took some longer than others, but I only know of one that hasn't been blown somehow, It has been sitting for 3 or 4 years though.
