MacPherson strut front suspension and torsion-beam rear suspension, plus the gas tank is under the passenger seat. It's honda's econobox, no more sport inspired little car, and it's way bigger, IMO, than it should be. I'm completely disapointed in Honda, even an Odyssey feels better around corners.</TD></TR></TABLE>

What do you think the Civic is, a luxury car?

It's a light, cheap, and it's easily swappable chassis. Dealers can't keep them in stock. It's a little over 2400lbs WITH 6 airbags and 6 speakers, etc. The EP3 and DC5 are/were near 3000lbs. As for the suspension, it's faster than a Z06 through the slalom in stock $15k trim. Oh, and if Spoon thinks it's a capable race chassis, I do, too. Mark my words, it'll dominate it's class in Time Attack. The versatility and potential aren't even measureable. It appeals to people like me AND people like my wife. If you ask me, it's pure genius on Honda's part. They reinvented the Civic for crying out loud.

BTW, the gas tank location is engineered for safety. At this point Honda isn't just making their cars safer for the occupants, they are engineering them to cause less damage to other vehicles AND other pedestrians. Every passenger in every car has an airbag.

What else do you want, besides Honda actually bolting the K in themselves?

spoon absolutely loves the fit as a race car.

i think the center mounted gas tank is a good idea to keep the car center balanced.

that crx photoshop is at least 2 or 3 years old. why is it still being posted?

it does look good. but its just a PS. thats it. a real new CRX would never be what it used to be.

I thought the same thing until I read up on the Fit. Honda's roots are evident.

Don't come in here and make statements like that when you aren't even contributing. If you don't vote, you can't really criticize the president, now can you?

nothing ever will compare. its impossible to get a car to be so light on its feet and so nimble in corners. theres to much technology that has to go into cars. just as toyota will never be able to recreate the ae86. so the best we can do is keep throwing the newest engine into it and keep raping new $30,000 cars

..and there's a massive wall of smoke.

I'll admit, the Fit talk got carried away, but we're always off topic, and, it did led to a decent convo about motors.

i love my ef, but i like to talk about other things also. i see it fit to bring other conversations into a otherwise dead thread
