had to put a new door on. how do i get moldings off without breaking em. this one molding doesnt match

A bear? Did I read that right or what?
I think on the crx you can access the molding clips from taking the door panel off. On my hatch, I took them off by removing the nut on the inside of the door (by the latch). then I used a long skinny flat screwdriver to push in the tops of the clips. If you are carefull, you can pop the clips loose without damaging the moldig or scratching the car.

^ That's probably the only time I've seen chrome wheels that look good on a honda. Very nice.

I dont know about the crx but I know on my 91 Civic I took the screws off the back of the door then the molding "slid" forward toward the front of the car, then off. I havent tried it yet on my CRX.

It's been awhile since I've see inside a crx door, but if I remeber correctly, it doesn't have the intrusion beam like the hatch. which means you can pop the door panel off and just squeeze the clips to release the molding.

When you slid it forward, where you sliding the molding while the clips remained stationary?

Dang pandarex, when I saw that shot from above of your car, I was thinking that it looks just like my car, before I painted my hood. Then I saw this shot:

Nope can't get to them from inside, I slide them off too, clips stay on the car then you take them off after. You can also twist them off but that takes skill not to wreck em, they snap off like something broke but all is well, I practice this in the junkyards then take the clips .

either that or an DA lip or a Si Civic lip

people use DA lips for civic rear bumpers I don't know if its the same for CRX's but won't hurt to try

I hate that

everytime they fall behind the door. But thats the easiest way to get them and just push them into the hole and let them fall behind the door. Then take off your door panel and search for them. Usually they stay in place in that little compartment (its like a long line of metal that sticks out right where the door suport beam is)

If you look at the corners, you can see where the lip goes around teh bumper edge on the Si. I'm 98% sure its from an Si.

Look on the bright side. with an EF, it can't be too difficult to get back into your car

With a crx, the front lip is easily modded for the rear bumper, i did it for a friends car hella easy!

Damnit, i've been planning to polish my mr5s with an ebp lip and cap to match my ebp cage! now that guy sucks! lol

One time, I was lucky enough to have left the window cracked, barely. Took me about 2 hours and three wire hangers to get that **** open!
