I was going to work on my car over the weekend, but it was -20 below. It was cold in the garage even with the heat on. I did change the womans oil in the Rav4. That is the easiest oil change ever. The filter is in front of the oil pan.

I might swap a K24 into my rex. Did Hasport ever get it so you dont have to cut a damn hole in the hood? I"ve seen where you can use a SiR style hood...but how about OEM? Whos got some good pics of a k swapin their EF? I'm debating how I would do the shifter also...maybe a dash shifter like the ep3?

The K20 clears the SiR style hood only. The K24 has a deck that is 19mm taller, so there are zero oem hood options. If you want the hood to close with no hole, you gotta make a custom one. You'd be better off at K20A.org with finding pics.

Hasport likely won't come out with another kit for the EF. They can't sit the motor any lower without running into axle angle issues and oil pan clearance issues. So K20 is ideal, and K24 requires an ugly custom hood or a hole.

I still think a siR hood modded where just the cowl is raised say 22mm higher than it is stock all the way up is a great idea. That make sense?

not really lol. well honestly fiberglass isn't that tuff to work with, i just suggest covering up well when sanding, i haven't had that bad of itches ever... and supposeily i you bath in baby oil it will lift it out and off your skin, so basically building my own hood be my idea and if you want to keep the oem hood might be able to get away with cutting the braces out(that are above the motor) and do some washers and a longer bolt on the hood, that make sense?

The K20's oil cap touches the bottom of the SiR hood WITH the webbing cut out. They actually make a special oil cap for the EFK1 swap.
