do you have the hydro set up?
i currently have a y1 jdm lsd cable on my b16. i'm upgrading to a b18c this winter and i have a hydro type r tranny that i bought. i really want the ablitlity to rebuild the tranny, thats why i wanted hydro. 92-93 cable trannys are hard to find, and i dont really want to swap the gears on my y1 with the other one, cause it will be hard to sell it. the type r has lsd too

What did they offer that tranny in? I thought the 92-93 DA's were hydro.

and do you like the hydro kit from hasport? i actually bought my hyrdro tranny from kylefakesir. he's a good friend of mine. i am suprised he is not happy with the hydro kit he helped install in his old car
the whole kit is nice in the way it works. there is just one bracket that i am pissed about.

the one at the very bottom. it needs to be shaped like a T if you look at it head on to prevent deflection/give it more rigidity. the way it is now if you look at it head on is like this: --
it allows for movement up and down when the pedal is applied. it is a quick and easy fix to weld a piece of aluminum stock to the underside of it (we are getting bj to do this to the one in my old car) to resolve the problem. fact of the matter is though for $550 dollars you shouldn't need to re-engineer a part.
edit...andy i have been watching for 92/93 cases for your tranny so you don't have to buy the mount set...i'll just swap the gear set and stuff into the other case and it'll be ready to roll.

ok. let me know if you find a case. unless you think it would be smart to swap cases/gears with the 2 trannies i already have. could we use the case from that s1 tranny i have laying around?
hasport sells just the tranny mount and cable to hydro conversion kit seperate from all the mounts. so i wouldn't be looking at a full $550

mine sucked until i figured out to grease the **** out all the pivot points, it made a world of difference, the effort to push in the clutch dropped in half.

Just thought I'd chime in that I couldn't get the engagement point on my conversion high enough for my liking. I ran a pretty stiff cluth and it was a pain.
I believe everything was setup right, and I talked to other people and they ran into the same problems as well.

true, all the friction from no lube causes you to work harder. But we all know that

I was originally going to use this lip, but I decided to go EF9. This is a VW lip, but not the one that several other people have. I'll ship it with mounting hardware for $60.
Brand new, never installed on car.

I know what you mean. You could mount them sideways and rivet them to the quarter panels, but that makes me a feel a little
. I'm not a big fan of putting holes in my quarter panels.
