The lowered amount depends on where you live. Some areas measure from the ground to the center of the headlight. Some say that no body part of the car can be lower than the lowest point of the wheel.

I've been driving a slammed CRX around CA for 5 years now, and never had a problem with the cops.

I'm about to pick up a 91 Civic hatch, I was wondering what kinda tires/rim offset you guys run and what suspension setup?

Also for those with a B18C1, how did you go from hydro -> cable? What type of motor mounts did you use?

Annnnd, to round it all up, how much was spent on the swap?

Thanks.

i have a 90 hatch. 205/65/14 azenis on mr5's. currently b16, but converting to a b18 with a type r hydro tranny this winter. i have hasport mounts, and i will have to buy the hydro b series tranny mount from them, along with thier dope hydro to conversion kit.

i have no idea how much the swap was. the org. b16 /lsd cable was about $2500 from hmotors. my new tranny was $1300. my short block was...? can't remember.
shiftlinkage and mounts $350

I dont quit understand what you are asking. Hasport makes a conversion kit if you want to run a hydro tranny. If you just want to use a cable tranny simply remove the hydro tranny replace the clutch and put on the cable tranny. You can get a complete b18c for about 4,500-5,000 and thats including everything you will need. Mounts, linkage, etc.

We finished the polyurethane J's Racing / Chargespeed CRX lips (for JDM EF8 CRX or 90-91 USDM CRX bumpers, no modifications needed to fit either). Pretty cool IMO because it's so flexible that I actually tied it into a knot and it just popped back into its original form

Working on the 88-89 Civic, 90-91 Civic, and JDM EF9 Civic lips in polyurethane right now so when those are ready, I'll post those up

good stuff..... hopin for that 88-89

depends if u want to go look good/pricey route or functional/inexpensive route mainly hasport and innvotaive both make cable/hydro conversion and mounts, id go with hasport mounts, and the innovative hydro/cable conversion works well, but hasport one looks better

currently rollin stock 91 crx si wheels with 195/60/14 up front and 185/60/14 in back
soon to be on 95 gsr fat- fives with 205/50/15 up front and 195/50/15 in back
On Eiback sportlines and Tokico Illuminas
Im using Hasport mounts for my b16a and a cable tranny, but Hasport makes a b-series/EF mount kit with the hydro to cable conversion pieces in it, just buy that kit and you can convert pretty easy.
Or find a 92-93 cable tranny and use that. Same input shaft as the hydros and you can use all of the hydro internals to rebuild the cable tranny.

ehhh, thats just how its workin out.
i replaced the front wheels and tires on my car with the fronts from my wrecked Si and the tires happened to be 195s instead off 185s
and I have to replace 2 tires on my gsr's and I'm gunna bump the size to 205 (for whatever small amount of extra traction that gives me), I'm relpacing the tires anyway, so why not.
I have a friend that was running 205/55/15 tires on fat-5's on the back of his crx, with s-tech springs and tokicos, and he was having rubbing issues so I'll see if I encounter rubbing problems with 205/50's, and that will dictate if I bump the other 2 tires up to 205's or leave them at 195.
but I didn't intentionally set out to stagger my tire sizes.
