See I'm still on the fence. If I insure the CRX specialty I'm limited, where I can drive it - shows, meets, parades, etc. Some have no mileage limits - pleasure driving ok - def no track time. But I can make sure if anything happens to it, I get back out what i put in.
If that is the case, then I'm tempted to do very little to it as suggested by others and just work the civic since it already has the swap and not worry about mileage, etc.
Otherwise - yeah, I can see just doing a really clean swapped crx and just do it the way i really want with some nice pieces and use the civic with the a6 as a daily/autox'r.
I'm not working on either car till summer - but it is bugging me trying to decide.

honestly if you can afford to car projects at once build the civic as a track car...but you will prob have to drop a good amount of money into it, whereas the crx you could swap it and be done

Known to make great power...especially up top on an LS. What are my options? I have a DC 4-2-1 on tehre now and it just doesnt do the job. </TD></TR></TABLE>
motor is a ported 3angle valve job, crower 404, 11.5:1 82mm LS with forged internals. 2.5" exhaust tapering down to 2.25" with a stock replacement muffler. this with my 2.25" aem intake and 70mm TB/blox intake manifold put down 174whp and 137wtq. I want to break 180 whp on the motor with the same exhaust. I plan to port match the intake manifold. there is a step smaller from the TB. I may change the intake arm, but I want to focus on the header. I think the dc is causing too much of a backup, to let it breathe efficiently with the setup. yes I know the muffler and taper don't help, but as you recall I had to do that for legal reasons. Suggestions?
EDIT: these results were not on a dynojet either.

Ok I guess I was a little harsh by saying they were gay. It is more of what you said. 30k for a Civic is ludacris. If it actually came with power mods and what not then I would be impressed. After seeing the Mugen RR, it is very unimpressing.

I'm curious...174whp @ what RPM?

I am correct, that is a non-vtec motor?

stiffening to a degree is always appreciated - but what would the price tag be? uber-jdmhardparkneverseenactualuseotherthantoguagehowlo wmyridesitsYo1! pricing?
- but would this be for a standard swap (d & B16) or would it also fit with B18's and K's knowing that they sit at different heights depending on mounts?

Woody- You talking about a "rear lower tie bar?" If so, doesn't the eg/dc one work? I know my LCA's are eg/dc/ef.
Either way, I'm not interested as I'm already "tied up."

i've actually thought of mocking up my own cut out of a subframe and spending th emoney to maybe have someone machine it out for me.

not sure on the price right now.. i'm waiting on my friend to get back to me. i would assume it would be price ranged around the asr. but we'll see how it goes, i'll keep you guys updated
okay so ignore my comment about clearance since this is for rear.
Since the rsb is not connected to the rear subframe, do we really need this piece? Doesn't Neuspeed make one?

Not necessary. Although the added bling is pretty cool

, lol.
Clay - really? I disagree with the DP one though - if you dwell on the touching, then yes - gay, if you concentrate only on the hot chick in the middle, pound away! LOL.

I dont have the graph yet, but I have pics I took of it. Looks like its right at 6500rpm and it plateaus up to 8K. The tq curve isnt even really a curve. Its pretty much 138 at any rpm.
Well, it fluctuates from 115-ish at 2Krpm to its peak right around 6500 when it starts falling off back to the area of 115.
yea this is a b18b originally.
edit: I'll post the graph when I get it. When we tried taking timing out or adjusting cam gears, nothing happened but a slight loss of power or a minimal gain of tq.
