On a matter of a more personal note...

For some of you who didnt know, I was planning on building and dropping a GSR into my hatch. I talked to the guy at the shop where the engine is and told him I would be picking it up in around a week's time. Well I just got message that he gave the engine to his friend because his friends engine blew. So now Im disappointed again. I just chalk this up as another disappointing blow in business ethics when it comes to car parts here in Louisiana. So yeah... Im kinda pissed.

I was suppose to. I have been talking to the guy for weeks and I told him last week he can consider it sold and I would keep in contact with him to let him know I didnt flake. I told Jeff I found the block and I was talking to the dude a while back. I understand because I would do the same for my boy but it sucks when your on the opposite end.

Lame man... how much was he gonna charge you for the motor???

 

750 for the longblock. It was missing injectors and some misc ****. It also needed random seals but I was going to buy all new seals/gaskets/pumps and throw a new timing belt on anyway.

What up squad!

It's been awhile again. I'm back at school workin' my *** off.

Update on the hatch (remember it got killed by a drunk driver): It was declared a total loss and the insurance company was trying to give me $3k + $$ for personal damages or whatever, so I hired a lawyer. We settled on $7,000 for the hatch, and we are still working on the personal injury bit. I got x-rays of my neck and back that show that I have severe whiplash; the apparent cause of my daily headaches since the wreck, and some other crap is wrong with my spine.

But on a lighter note, I went out and got a truck for all practical purposes (besides gas, obviously). It's a 2003 Tacoma Limited, 4 dr, 4wd, V6 with leather interior. I'm liking it but I miss the hatch to death. Hopefully one day when I get out of school and get this truck paid off, I'll get back in the game, but for now I'm just watching from the side lines.

'03 Taco's are sick man join the club, as you know I ditched my hatch and got a Taco too, I'll hopefully be back in the game once everything in my life has settled.

Jeff's going back to school?! Glad to see your taking that step bro. School is kicking my *** right now. Im taking International Finance and that **** makes no sense to me. But I only have 2 semesters including this one before I graduate. But Im glad your going back bro.

 

My oil pan gasket just blew. Everytime I park I drip out between 1/8th to a 1/4th of a quart. Sweet jesus I hope I can make it to Wal Mart.

Participate in discussions, post up your car in a separate thread and ask. EH squad is more about participation than how good your car looks.
