fricking wake up to snow still on the ground, wtf bro.
stayed up last night and played some gt5. needed a little stress relief, so i busted out the mugen/motul ea civic. ran a 25 lap race at laguna, started on hard race tires and got through the field pretty well. but, i couldn't get to this jgtc mr2. we hit lapped traffic and i closed up to less than a second, but my tires were "falling" off. gap jumped back up to 5 seconds, so i decided to pit.
i don't pit often, well, maybe once before. lol. but, i was "going" to do was soft race on the front with no change on the rear. well, i messed that up and went soft front and hard rear. i come out of the pits almost a minute and a half down from the leader. i am thinking ok, they have to pit anyway or atleast will.
go into t3 and get on the brakes, yep, i am drifting. whoops, bad tire choice, but i have to make it work for me. it actually became a blessing in disguise because i used it to get the car to rotate. slowly kept closing the gap and i was planning on pitting when the lead car did.
well, he never pitted, so i had to roll these soft comps the rest of the race. 10 laps on hard comps and now 15 on softs, hmmm, bad strategy. anyways, i close the gap again in traffic. i make a move on him after the corkscrew with another car in the mix. "coasted" for the next 4 laps to victory, surprised my add didn't kick in and get bored with it. might hit up a 30 lapper at daytona road course tonight.
