squeal like a belt noise? doubt it is your tie rod, that would be more of a clunk if anything. doubt you would hear it anyway. a good ball joint/tie rod/wheel bearing test is; jack that corner up. the grab the wheel and do side to side and up and down push pull methods. side to side will normally be a tie rod, up and down will be a ball joint. overall play/diagonal will be a bearing. also you could jack it up and "simulate" the bump/s. i don't know if i would call it a squeal, but if the damper is blown, it will make a squeal/hiss type noise.

 

I thought maybe the damper, but it rarely makes the noise on bumps. Its real intermediate. It happens mainly on turns though. Would I be getting that much load on turns, whether its parking lot little turns to driving on the street...to make it have the squeal noise?

 

what side is the sound coming from? and what direction are you turning when the noise happens?

Sorry, I do not have the pump installed. I meant to say I have power steering but it is looped. Therefore the pump is not installed. Sorry about that.
