Supra looks good! EG too of course! Aston Martin? Mehh
Gabee, your wheels were tucking a lot during that turn, soft rates?
Brad, I'll be waiting for the wall of text without paragraphs
Jeff, I feel you on that, Id go for a Geo too as a daily. Knowing I have a nice car in the works/in the garage, I wouldn't care what I had to drive either!
As for me its 2am here, just taking a quick break. Trying to finish up my interior before going to sleep bc I have to give my sister a ride to work in the morning -__-. Took the rear interior apart to clean all that dust and to try and address a few things.
My reverse lights keep going "out" from time to time. They dont blow but I have to play with it to stay on, not sure if the cables are bent wrong or something but I got it to stay on after I moved it around. We'll see if it goes out again. I think its just the wires because its not the same side, but rather both intermittently.
I have really loud noises coming from the back on every bump I go over, the whole thing just rattles so I took out the panels in hopes of finding out why. Jesses barely makes any noise. The other thing was that they were both not lined up right ever since I've had it.-> http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...2/DSC00981.jpg
Lastly my subs aren't properly grounded so I'm going to put the cable on the strut bolts to ground it right. I hope some of the rattling goes away! Then I'll still have to do the front panels but thats for another day.

For a race car...yes...they're soft...450lbs in the front...for a daily driver...stiff enough. That was a pretty tight/small and quick transition Chicago box so the car was squatting alot from the great amount of abuse I was applying.
karting video from expo. fastest dude of the weekend.

Glad to see snowball rolling again. Hows it feeling nowadays?
Yeah but its almost as old as me you know, its 2 decades old so its about that time, I just wish it wasn't so bad. Its a lot of work to replace but its not that bad, just need to take out the trailing arm and burn that bushing off or press it out and then throw in a new one. Its a pain yeah, with tools or without lol. Doable but its pretty involved you know? We car guys do work without even being mechanics or ever doing it before, thats the plus of working on hondas, its very good to learn on. Its still crazy how we take apart our cars like nothing though lol.
I'm going to save for a PIC bushing kit when I start working and do that while its parked and off the road. Id like to have a daily so I can tackle intense work like that. Reason I say insane is because if you're going to do that, then you might as well powdercoat it and get fresh bolts and do the other bushings and then the next thing you know you're doing a whole sway bar setup and POR undercarriage lmao. :urg:
blox lcas? and is the trailing arm bushing fully torn? you could hillbilly fix that. lol.

Whats the hillibilly fix? 3M urethane?
Yeah I knew the lcas were it for sure, been gone since 1 month after I had them, thats no surprise. Not sure how the trailing arm is but def needs replacement. The lcas are trash though, I got them knowing it would need replacing but theyre not oem sized so Id have to trim bushings so I might just throw back my OEM ones when I put it back with fresh bushings.
Thats pretty stiff, how do you like that rate? I was thinking of getting suspension with 8k in the front, 10k seems a bit much considering my car is mostly street. Damping is more important though lol. Maybe thats why mine feels so stiff. Really awesome on smoother roads though.

450=8.
564=10.
and yeah that is the hillbilly way.
Ah cool. Yeah thats why I said 8k, I thought it was 6 or 7 but I looked it up and was 8k. Didnt know he had 10k in the back, thats stiff lol.
Good to know that way helps it, I wasnt sure if it would work. I know it does for mounts but not for that. Thanks! Ill probably do that at one point this summer.

that bushing and motor mounts have the same job per say.

Felt so awesome to be back out on the solo course Sunday. I was tingling with envy after my first run of the day.
Still need to replace my brake master cylinder though. It's leaking from the backside...so I'm pretty certain the seal is busted. I've been wanting to upgrade to the 15/16th size anyhow.
ok so lets get some expo news going..
supposed to meet the chicago guys around 8 on friday. i hadnt left the neighborhood yet and i got a call tom blew his front brake line. dil had one so they were at the meeting point by 830. we were making good time until we hit the mountains. i would get left all the time but i had richard behind me in his R as my right hand man. it got so bad with the stops that we stopped at a rest stop because someone had to pee. we leave and someone needed gas so we stopped again 5 miles later. well they were blasting through the mountains and i was trying to catch up so i was in the left lane. then i see them dart of so i missed that exit because i couldnt get over. so me and richard stop at the next exit and we fill up. they meet us there and so now we have made 3 stops in less than ten miles. that is not efficient one bit then the final stop took forever at this walmart which we had to find first. now it is getting dark and there is lightning. then it becomes a downpour with hail so we had to pull over because we couldnt see.
we get to cmp around 1030ish if i remember right. i get everything set up so i dont have to deal with it in the morning. by the time i got out of the shower sander had made it so i talked to him and didnt end up going to bed until 2. great so saturday starts off with 4 hours of sleep which totals 8 in two nights. tech starts late on saturday also so it really was good i had everything setup already. place was screaming hot though, at 2pm on saturday the pavement read 139 degrees. track day went normal for the most part. second session i had a nice step out with was fun because last year it might have bothered me but i stayed in it and pedalled right out. only bad thing was our buddy adam put it in a tire wall which had him bumming which if you knew him it sucks because he is a real nice mellow dude down for helping anyone. car was mechanically fine so he had a good time later and into sunday.
sunday was the same story. i put my car up on casey penn's weights and :drumroll: my car with a half tank and me out of it clocks in at 2060. the same thing can be said about sunday's track day. i thought at the beginning of the weekend that the "kink" would scare me the most but i was having fun through it. as i went through the apex a couple times i looked down and i was close to 105 then i got more ballsy and didnt lift as much, so i quit looking down at that point. lol.
we hit up the rental karts out there and all i can say is WOW. those karts were amazing, stunning, stellar, orgasmic, and if the karts were dj khalid they would say "we da best!" i had so much fun i ran the fastest time of the weekend. lol. not bad for an overweight midwesterner. :p
the trip back was pretty smooth but we were all struggling so we pulled off at a rest stop and slept for a bit. so i left cmp around 4 on sunday afternoon and got home about 830 monday morning. that morning was brutal, i drank 2 redbulls and a full throttle early in the trip. lets just say red bull didnt give me wings..it gave me the runs.
hopefully i kept this short enough but this was an amazing experience. one that i will remember for a real long time. BRAP!

clud-you think the forms ride stiff? i think mine are too soft. for my hatch im going to follow brads hatch which i believe is 500 and 600. so the sedan just needs to have the timing adjusted and i'll have my ls motor a 100% legal in cali. passed smog with flying colors. it put out zero NO's. today has been a good day. all the bushing are going to be replaced on both cars. im looking at the function form lcas cause they come with poly in them. my old omnis are ****ed.
