Offical eH squad list.
Blah, Im confused guys. Should I purchase a qsd h2b kit or an evolution kit. They will end up around the same price if I purchased them brand spankin new.
Theres a guy selling close to me, a full evolution kit with mounts and half shaft, with very little miles on it for $850 ($1500 new).
Another guy selling a qsd for $650($750 new) with only 100 miles on it...which allows you to use any clutch/flywheel setup you want and stock b series mounts. Id end up getting hasport mounts, which would put me past the $850 for that used evolution kit.
Hmmm.... any input would be wonderful. Especially if boostedej1 sees this since he is running h2b on itbs

Correct, the evolution kit makes you use tge evolution mounts, which sits the engine lower and tilted back. Qsd you have to have a 1.5 hood prop...or cut webbing. Which is the kit I wanted to get, but half off on a 1500 kit is a really good deal. Lol.
Qsd is a real good kit tho. Blah

Yeah man I agree, if youre keeping your car for a really long time then I suggest you do the evo kit but if you plan to change your setup then I think the cheaper kit would be a better choice. Either that or deal with not being very low and possibly having a busted up oil pan lol.

Even with the qsd kit, some have gotten their hoods to almost close lol. Ground clearance might be an issue with the evo kit since it sits like an inch lower than the qsd, maybe more. I haven't worked with an evo kit personally so I can't really comment on whether issues were install error or not. I just know the qsd kit keeps axles and shifter in the stock location. My ground clearance is as good as a d series
I'm using the QSD kit mainly for axle angle and shifter angle. There have been a lot of reports of shifting issues at the upper RPM range with the evo kit. The biggest thing the evo kit has going for it is hood clearance since you can close your hood.

Can't go wrong with QSD. The only problem I have with it is my hood closing but thats not really a serious issue. I'd take ground clearance, axle angle, shifter angle over my hood closing all day.
