Mugen Thread
I know they are discontinued... but King had one set of 16" 4x114 slightly used bronze MF8's (only mounted once) which I bought in January 2006. I told them to ship them to "company x" and through that company my local shop would get the rims in their monthly container of goods (I'm overseas).
But after some in-house management problems at "company x" my rims and like 60% of stuff my local shop ordered still haven't arrived. That all happened a year ago... still busy with it.

Hirotoshi Honda aka mr. mugen
just a thought if mr.honda died and his son had to leave mugen so really there's no honda blood in the newer stuff. maybe thats why mugen has more parts for mini vans than they do for cars. if they gonna keep on discontinuing more parts we not gonnna have **** left
it'll be all for mini vans</TD></TR></TABLE>
the same reason why im going to buy a spoon oil pan vs the mugen pan , spoon is dedicated to the performance of honda cars. It seems like mugen has broadened their horizons and forgot to include the roots that made them grow.

I think everyone noticed it, when mugen started coming out with umbrellas, wallets, etc etc., but the mugen oil pan has been out for a long time and many road racers have been using it. I don't think the mugen oil pan, of all things, is an item that is lacking in "performance." New things however, i would question....

Theres some pics of a Spoon Mugen Oil pans side by side somewhere on H-T. Mugen is the clear winner as far as quality and cleanliness of work & welds. Ive looked a little bit here, but didnt find them. Ive go tthe pics at home, so unless someone else has them, ill post them up tonight.

A lot of people forget that Mugen competes in Formula 1, the premier racing series in the world. Many of those items (umbrella, wallet) are VERY TYPICAL items that companies supporting F1 teams or other race types will sell. If you have ever watched a Formula 1 race on television you will see an endless sea of umbrellas/flags/towels/hats etc. The fact that mugen makes parts for road-going cars is just a coincidence and these are then considered a cross-over item. I'm sure the orignal intent was never to sell an umbrella to a civic/integra kid
