Damn I asked a long time ago but does anyone know how the step kit mounts up on the back of a eg? I have them but I think I don't have all the hardware... I need someone to post pics.....

WTF do you mean "on the back" there is no such thing as a rear mugen EG kit. Only front and sides.

Do you mean these metal mounting clips?

Um the back is..... The back of the sides..

 

I'm missing those mounting clips... They fell off!!!! I would have to get something fab up to work...I can't wait to get them painted and mounted with the front lip...

So that answers your question? I think the only reason no one responded before is because we didn't know what the hell you were talking about lol. The only reason I even took a guess is because I saw the word "step" so I figured you might be talking about the side step kit. lol

I posted this on 5/9/07.... And as stated above side step kit.... And no one helped me out til you just did.... Thanks sean...

 

if youre missing the clips... u can use the oem side skirt ones... or hit me up i got a few extras... as for the metal bracket/rail.. youre out of luck if youre missing that... but u can fab that up pretty easy.


yeah jimmy...i finally slapped them on...guess what.. the front edge where it curves around to the fender part is cracked already.. guess it had a lot of stress on it when i scrapped... damn my lowered car ..well the crack is a split where the bend is... oh well everything else fits like a dream

You see those two metal brackets at the end of the skirt? I am missing them. I have both metal bars but no brackets at the ends.. There are just the holes for where the brackets should go.. I guess I will have to fab them up. And I also have the same crack as you. Man these skirts are kind of made of cheap material for what we pay for them..

oh i hear what youre saying... bout the clips at the end.. its a metal bracket thats riveted onto the skirt and at the end is the plastic snap on clip...how much of it are you missing..snap a pic

the material is frp. the front lips are known to crack at the bends too...but mine has no problem what so ever... the material is actually pretty durable dispite that... mine dragged on the floor kuz my bumper edge fell off from the fender... and on top of the daily driving with it for years and years with numerous things flying at me on the freeway...its still one great shape!

 

So they are made out of frp material. Good info.

Glad you're having good luck with your lip and step kit not cracking.
