Just tight enough so there is no slack

but you do want a little slack to make up for imperfections in the chain ring and so you're not killing the sprocket....

Sod it last year....I bought it sight unseen, being told it was a 56. Open up the box, oh, it's a 54! Too small for 6'1 215 lbs me

Anyways, I tried really hard to make it fit(look at the seat tube and the stem), but had to sell it. Still looking for another frame.

you just missed a blue one and a polished one on ebay... both sold in the last month.

 

that blue one was purdy, sold for roughly 500-ish.

 

Those campy wheels are more $$ than my civic wheels. haha

 

i run with just enough slack to not drop the chain. when you're super tight, it's like you're running a way lower gear.

had to put some race blades on my bike today, tired of riding in the rain and getting a wet ***/back stripe of dirt.

But I don't like when I feel slack when standing, it's very annoying to me. I'll replace the steel cog if it comes to it, I've got plenty
