bmx bikes?
here's how i feel about the bikes i own
road bike = perfect for long distances in the upwards of 30 miles where hills are just not doable on a single gear
mtn bike = perfect for my school commute going down stairs, curbs, and general riding. With fatter tires and the weight of my cheapie mtn bike...it's very "slow"... and for me...something i don't care if stolen (i bought it from a friend for like 10 bucks)
FG bike = perfect for group rides around 20 miles with hills that i can tackle with my current ratio. You can do things that you cant do as easily on other sed bikes, trackstand or whatever you. I think that track bikes are quite fun for riding. i can't do some of the tricks like other people, but riding a fg bike is definately fun imho. People who have a proper "setup" can also treat their fg bike as a bmx bike (barspins) whatever.
FG bikes were designed for the track and from my understanding adopted by messengers for their lightness and simplicity. (when you have over 20+ gears, derailleurs, brake lines, etc ...there are things that can go wrong...mechanically speaking)
when living in a city when it's flat .... you can get away with a single gear ratio and no have to flip through 30 gears (added weight)
^ is an ideal situation, of course it's not just track riders and messengers who have FG bikes anymore.
</TD></TR></TABLE> Cheers, I thought a MTB for longish distances and tricks abilty to ride on rubble etc with bending your rims, the constant maintenance is a bitch for sure though worse then a car.
I like this one prolly break it myself.

So I figured I'd chime in on here... I hardly visit H-t anymore and don't even own a Honda at this point... But, my new build was strongly motivated by Hondas and my long time love of them so I figured I'd come back to my roots...
