so i was sitting at the bike shop last night, drinking beers and talking ****, and i was thinking "maybe i should put a brake on this thing and a freewheel..."

dude pops in "macaframa" and immediately, i walked inside, bought a new set of Nitto rb021 bars and threw my freewheel away.

It's funny how some people put their bikes away during winter and not ride because of snow while I do the complete opposite putting mine away during summer. 128 degree weather FTL.

Where do you live? Although it's super hot here, I'm glad it's dry and not humid cause I would be even more miserable. I remember going to Texas mid summer. I pretty much had to shower twice a day cause I kept sweating.

Fall and winter are the best weather here to ride. If I'm really itching to ride during summer time, I usually leave around 4:30-5 in the morning right before sunrise. The temperature is usually still in the mid 90's by that time...plus there's not a lot of cars which is always a plus.

It's hilly here too. Sometimes, I don't get why I didn't get a mountain bike instead. I've gotten better at skidding where I don't have to lean forward anymore but I still can't do it hauling ***.

And here's a pic just to keep the thread going...was gonna start upgrading the bike but decided to wait till next fall when I can actually ride it again.

I guess I'm some kind of a masochist... I love riding when its so hot/humid out that my skin feels like its on fire. But I hate riding in the cold because the air just feels like nails in my lungs.

Problem is that I sweat. A lot. Like to the point where people stop me and ask me if I'm okay. So that kinda rules out riding to work in the warmer months

It's been windy here almost every other day since 2010 started it's ridiculous. I guess that's what happens when you live in a desert.

I'm on the same situation with the long stem needing a shorter stem.

Best investment I made. Bike is super quiet now that I run this chainring along with a 75 bottom bracket, and along with the Euro Asia cog.
They are stiff as **** too.

the geometry is all wrong for me. i think i need 2cm largr on the frame and about 5mm on the crank arms.

its probably just the fact that i rode bmx competitively for 20 years.
