Every time I go to a local Honda meet there's a few Civics with some XXRs fitted like that...

 

 

So how about my weekend of suck...

I installed my new suspension (shown above), and it was nice and easy. Well, two days later, my heater core decides it wants to **** all over my interior. Naturally, I resolved that quite promptly. Then today I got to work, and my lower ball joint decides to snap... which, in turn, rips my axle in half. I can't catch a break! Every time I fix one thing, two things break right after.

whipped this up for a friend. No final numbers as his new cams were being dumb and not liking vtack. He did almost match last years numbers without vtec and less boost. Final tune commences tomorrow. Although I will not be there.

I'm not sure of anything lol. I'm just going by info given to me. Some cams don't like boost. Couldn't adjust the cams because the gears suck. He's throwing some ITR cams in for the session tomorrow.

yeah he made 430whp at 16lbs of boost last year. He made 402whp @13lbs without vtec Should be straight once it gets worked out. Thanks, first car vid with my new camera. I was gonna do my own car but my ecu+s300 took a ****

I know how you feel man. Fix one thing and 3 others break in its place. I figure by the time I fix all the stuff that's broken my entire car will have lifetime warranty parts from Autozone or O'Reillys and I won't ever have to worry about buying parts again. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten new axles thanks to the lifetime warranty at O'Reillys.

 

Remember that these cars are coming up to twenty years old. Before modifying you should get your car to reliable mechanical condition and address any worn parts - like ball joints.

 

Been a while since I posted up on here. Still modding the car but lately just done maintenance. Replaced the rack and pinion. Ordered some Dunlop DZ101 online and hopefully have them installed, balananced and get alignment on Wednesday.

Good to see some of you guys still have minty clean hatches. Wish I could say the same but daily use and time has beat up my car

 

Yeah, mine will be 20 in a little over a month.

Its probably why I've been stockish for so long, just addressing issues and maintenance. I've made myself a big list of everything that I need to fix or replace short term and a lot of the items there are maintenance. Should be interesting but def will be worth it.

Maintenance is overrated...

 

So far the only maintenance items I have left to replace are my longblock, trans, and ECU.

My car was mfd in late 91, so it's technically 20 years old now.... I think it only has around 130-140k miles on it though.
