Well when you put it that way lol I threw an ls swap in my eg 3yrs ago and it smoked like no ther at low rpms...like killing the misquito population smoke...at 2k~rpm, when I beat on it there was no smoke. Turns out the kid I bought my swap from didn't know what a pcv valve was so the vac line from the intake manifold went straight to the crank case breather and it would just suck oil vapor out of the block. That took me a month or two to figure that out.
I've owned it 6 years thus the 100 quarts and it only smokes noticeably above 3,500 RPM under load or if I just downshifted and let it load up. Burns about 3/4 to a quart of oil every 400 miles. Compression is good, so I know it isn't rings.
The only plug that appears to have soot or ash build up is #1 cylinder which is why I suspected really bad valve seals.

I went through my garage last night...I have eg6 purple tweed rear seats and a milano red passenger door (manual) from a dx/si (molding) I don't need anymore.

I'm pretty used to it, but it is embarrassing sometimes when people see a nice car and think oh wow, a clean Civic only to see it take off and smoke like a turba diesel....
i feel you there i think the guide in my head are bad, so my smokes like crazy.
lol mine dont smoke that bad but its getting worse, driving in town it dont smoke but if i get on it then let off it puffs a bit. I can tell because i have a tiny exhaust leak right underneath the shifter and i dont have a console in my car ( cant find a black one) so i can smell it burn oil. cant wait till i finish the other motor and dont have to smell burnt oil every time i get on the car lol
I am literally building the car $20 at a time and a swap or new engine is WAY out of the budget. The rear disk conversion is the first thing on my car in about 4 years that I've spent more than $100 on....
