haha. i get good deals on all kinds of stuff from oem to aftermarket and that has helped a lot in finishing the car. will post a few up to date pics in the next couple days maybe.
bravo
whats your gas mileage? I love my B16 but I want more torque and I don't like paying for 91 octane. This sounds like my solution. Is it fairly quick?

My gas mileage is good, actually i get the same as my ls. Roughly 25ish, it of course depends how much i play with the throttle. Its just a b20 with gsr trans, and bolt ons. I would take it over a b16 anyday. The best part is a replacement b20 is like 400 bucks.
Yeah I know they're dirt cheap, but I've gotten 37mpg with my B16. Hmm... Maybe I'll just build a GSR block instead. But even GSR blocks are more expensive than a whole B20, hmm... I'll probably just stick with my B16.
thanks a lot.. car is just like a brand new 92 civic hatch except it has a few extra goodies that make it the way i want

Yeah like i said i have a gsr for the car, it definately wasnt 400 but it was cheap. K stuff is knocking down prices of b series stuff so its a pretty sweet time to still be entertained by a good old b18. I think ill miss the torque at 2k rpm from the b20 one i do finally swap to gsr. How did you manage 37 mpg? Still have the b16 trans?

i only get about 28 mpg on my b16. i have a 40 mile commute and usually travel at about 70-80 mph. im turning 4k-5k rpms the whole drive. i still have ac and power steering, mugen header, 2.25 exhaust/test pipe are my only mods
) that I would want to drive faster to enjoy the work that I put into the engine, and the sound, so my gas mileage would drop quite a bit. With a stock engine I'm not as tempted.
a photoshop pic i did for fun to see how j speed 3's look on my car. i found a set and is debating on getting them. just the price is kinda holding me back.
Damn, nice photoshop anyway you'd be willing to photoshop a set of ce28n's on my car? I bought a set already just debating removing the rega's. Oh, lol almost forgot i think those wheels look great on your car.
i personally love the jspeed III's but from the direct side view i just thing that the spokes are too skinny and showing too much open space. it would be badass if you were to have upgrade front Big Brake kit and the rims as a combo though.
I like it. I think it would look at better if you painted the wheels, the red lip would be okay if it wasn't so thick. Contrast always help the look, there's too much black. Take off the tint at least. Personally Im not a fan of those lips either but I definately feel your car has potential. I would do OEM lip, no tint and paint the wheels another color or make the red lip smaller by filling with more black
lot of haters on this page....how does my car lack originality....every hatch on this thread looks the same...only difference is the color and wheels
BTW, is anybody rocking a SiR muffler? I want an OEM muffler, so I traded a part for a used EK muffler but it's pretty much toast, it sounds like a maraca when you shake it. So I saw Hmo sells a SiR muffler for $100, so I might do that, I dunno though, it's still $100.
Sir is the same as USDM Si..... It has the chrome tip and thats it. Same as the rest.
Man you like OEM way too much, you like downgrade to OEM lol. You had a nice Mugen header and a nice RS*R exhaust and you got rid of it. I love OEM but there are much nicer aftermarket upgrades for certain things.

The Del Sol VTEC and Del Sol Si exhaust tips have different part numbers, I searched the Del Sol because the B16 wasn't offered in 92-95 Civics of course. I used to own a 99-00 Si tip, and tried to put it on my muffler, but the inside diameter was too big, telling me that the outlets of the B16 mufflers are bigger also. And my factory Si tip fits perfectly on the 1.75" piping, where the outlet on the SiR is 2".

I like the way the factory exhaust looks better, even my RS*R wasn't subtle enough for my liking because of the big 4" tip, the factory muffler and tip is perfect to me. It's only a downgrade if I'm less satisfied with it, and I'm not. I always run into problems with aftermarket parts anyways, and seeing the luck everyone else is having, I think it's just me. But don't get me wrong, I like aftermarket too, I collect Honda Tuning and can just stare for hours at these works of art people have created with aftermarket parts, they can make a Honda look absolutely jaw dropping, and I hope to build one someday, but right now while in college, I need comfort, reliability, and low maintenance cost, which is something aftermarket parts don't always offer.
*edit, I bought the old rusted Mugen B16A header for $300, polished it in a day, then sold it for over $400 all in less than a month. And my RS*R muffler was so big it would bump up against the body of the car and knock the packing loose, which didn't sound good at all.
