black hatch is super straight and clean just needs different wheels, lip, corners. The wheels kinda look like the ones I have on my quad with the annodized lip

As for the cookie cutter comment its prob pretty nice for Tenn but out in seattle I see a couple cars a day that look just like that but diff colors, not bad just common ebay stuff.

Birthday last night, had the best prime rib, went to the car show, I want a TSX V6. Oh yeah, and they have an optional grill for the TL now, and it looks a lot better.

 

Oh, I see. I loved that thing. But, I just.....idk. I let it go and traded it w/o even thinking. I'm getting a '10 STi next month, so I figured I just rip the hatch apart and build it up. It's a great learning process.

 

right on, the new STI's are starting to grow on me. I want to part my hatch out to buy an S2000 but parts arnt moving for crap right now so I may just keep it. If I keep it though we will own way to many cars lol My EG, CRV, S2000 and the g/f is buying a an 08 SI next week lol sooo we will see



Are people starting to do the J swap into the TSX?? Thats really what the car needs. Under powered with the K24 imo, thats what made my g/f want the new SI over a TSX.

So, guys. Huge dilemma.

My mom is getting me a brand new STi next month for a graduation present (getting my AA degree).

But today, she offered me a choice. Get a brand new 2010 STi
or
give me however much money I need to finish building my car, since money is the main issue as to why it's not finished. Maybe like 10k tops I was thinking. And I've been thinking about it all day. I love this car and it'd be great to see it finished, yet at the same time an STi sound fking amazing too.
What would YOU choose if you were in my shoes?

 

Take the new whip and continue to let the EG be your project or maybe get something a little less expensive for a grad present and money on top?...that sounds good to me

 

$30,000 brand new car or $10,000 to fix up an old civic..............Hmmmmmm going to have to think long and hard about that one

I honestly dont think I would take either from my parents but im prob a little older than your average poster on here.

 

I knew that was going to come up. LOL. I thought about that too bro, but for some reason it doesn't completely have me. Will I love that car fresh off the lot? It's not a Honda, it won't be as user friendly. I won't be working on it day and night. Countless hours won't be put into it. You know? Not much fun in that. I understand I can still tune it up and ****, but still.

I understand that an STi is around 40k and I'm fighting over 10k w/ it, but ****... it's not really about the money. It's about the quality.

 

Decisions decisions...That's gotta be your call bro...my myself would go for an Acura TL that are ranging between 15-20 grand and try to get the ten to finish my hatch, BUT that's just b/c i'm in love with the TL's

I was leaning towards the decision you stated, I just wanted some type of input from another person to assure I'm not going to regret this chance that maybe nobody else has.
