Ding ding ding, we have a winner. I almost bought a newer 5.0, but the minute I sat in one I remembered why I'll never buy American. Thought I was sitting in a plastic storage bin for a second, then remembered I was in a Mustang....
Thanks man. I was watching the large mass of clouds above my house just spinning in a giant circle, then the sirens started going off and decided it was time to get out of there. It's been the worst by far I've seen in the 13 years I've been here. Too close to my house for comfort....
That's basically what I did, but didn't completely blow it up, just waited until it was rod knocking real good then pulled it out.
If your current clutch works, why bother.... Just get a cheap OEM replacement disk and drive that until it blows up. After driving my LS/B16 trans setup I'll never do a torqueless wonder B16 swap again that's for sure.

That's funny lol. Exactly what is probably going to happen. Thought to just skip the clutch as it will probably blow anyways lol. For some reason it doesn't even bother me. I suppose it's my daily so it would be a problem haha. I would rather wait and just get the motor that I really want instead of just a B16A.
Wrd. I need to get my rear sway installed but I'm in no rush. Don't feel like spending guap on an ASR brace lol.
I haven't been here too much but this is what I've been up to. Picked up 225/45/16 and 205/50/16 Direzza ZIIs for my 16x8 and 16x7 WedsSports TC05. They'll be getting mounted on Wednesday and I'll be able to test fit them to get an idea. It will need some fender rolling so I'll try and do that before sending it off to get bodywork done to fix my passenger side dent. So yeah things are moving nicely.

I also just recently swapped out my steering rack and steering column. Added power steering in the process since it had been deleted which made the original rack go bad/have play.

Before that I installed all new brakes. New rotors, calipers and Hawk HPS pads. Stops well and the dust isn't too bad. Good setup for the street. Really excited to put them to the test with the ZIIs.

My rear main seal is leaking and I'm contemplating picking up an Exedy Stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel but I'm not sure its worth the cost. With the cost of a swap, I just have to be cost conscious so that I don't end up spending the cost of a swap doing things that won't make it as nice as a swap. What do you guys think?

I don't know man, did you drive one? I agree with the awful interiors out of any American car but damn those new motors are fast. I could almost put up with the interior with how good I think they look and how quick they are from the factory.
Two doors, barely has a trunk, RWD, eh on gas, high insurance cost, and expensive tires and wearable items. I didn't let myself drive one, because I knew I'd want one the minute I laid in to it. My car has to be 100% useful and practical and a Mustang isn't exactly mountain bike/winter/passenger/car part hauler friendly when it comes to daily use. You are right though, the new 5.0 is a bad some bitch in stock trim and they do look amazing and handle better than you would think with the live axle (Buddy has a Boss 302 Laguna Seca). For daily use it just didn't make sense and I think I would have hated it after a while.

nah but really I understand what you are saying haha. Maybe if I strike it rich one day I would buy one but otherwise probably not

Didn't help that my wife kept calling me a f@g for even looking at them on the internet haha. It was either WRX or new Civic SI and I just couldn't make myself like the new Civic SI. They look like a retarded Corolla with VTEC stickers on the side....

New Civic's are junk, and for the fact of the matter everything else is that Honda makes. Except for the Accord. That is the only Honda I would buy out of the lineup they offer now. Working at a Honda dealership has shown to me just how bad they are starting to make their cars. They are nothing like they were pre 2000.

But to the bold part...not correct, tons of trunk room too:

I don't miss it often though. The STI definitely is the better choice IMO.
Bought this 92 CX last winter as a project. Been slowly putting money into it, with a new job came a good pay raise so better quality stuff being thrown at it. new paint back to red coming this winter
Picked it up for $600. engine ran fine just smoked

Now currently:

i have a problem with my eg hatch, the welded nut that holds the front lca to the subframe in fell off so now the bolt is just in but not tightened , is there any way for me to fix it or do i have to grab another subframe, i have a integra subframe ready to go in. there is no way for me to reach the original place for the nut unless i cut the subframe. thanks in advance.
