the part at the end with you driving away brought a tear to my eye lol
Like a scene straight out of a movie or something haha

Nice comment on the only ones in the world headlights At first I was confused then I was like ahhh...RETROFIT Now u should do some one pieces and make them even more one of a kind

so you think someone you showed the garage to may have had something to do with it? or some random person just watching, following and knowing your car was in the garage. that really scares me since I've heard of some big time thieves that live near by me

yeah the retrofit one piece ebays. I think Jay's retro is as close to mine any anyones but still mine are one-of-a-kind.
Yeah I know someone was looking to do some JDM 1 piece's in a retro and sand out the fluting but I haven't heard any updates yet. Thought about doing it but soo much $ if you mess up.

I really dont know what to think. I was changing my wheels in the driveway that night but for them to know I had the supercharger and take it but not the pullys or alternator bracket, they did take as many tools as they could and a pair of the gold wheels, pretty much all they could fit in the car as they took off. Hard to say if it was someone that knew me or not. They haven't released names yet as they try and get as many of them as possible.

here is the retrofit lights.

here are the links to all 3 of the news casts.
and yes I was emotional. never expected to see it again.

Wow B00M3R, I bet your glad to have you car back.

Does anyone have experience with the Ebay front bumpers? How good do they fit/are they as good as OEM? Does anyone have a OEM red front bumper for sale?

Nice driving, I wish I could drive my delsol on Laguna Seca, unfortunately Im on the other side on the country.

thanks..

the motor was a rebuilt (OEM Spec) B18C5. Only had 1200 miles on it since the rebuild. Upon inspection, it looked like the motor was running hot/lean, as the cylinder walls were scored. Not sure how that happened, I checked timing multiple times, and it was correct. Also #3 bearing went out, and #2 was about to go out. Those might have been due to slight oil starvation, since I was not running a baffled oil pan, and since the motor was so new, a slight bit of starvation is critical..

First off, the car is a 1993 del sol Si with a B18A1 w/B16 tranny. If any thieves see this, I will disembowel you if you try and steal it.

That having been said, I have been having some weird issues lately. It started when I left my house one night to go to my gf's and the voltage light was on. I was able to drive just fine, just the lights got a little dim when I was idling, no big deal right? Well I got off the freeway and everything came on bright like normal, so I figured it was just a problem due to the cold. To be safe, I replaced the alternator with a known-good unit for the time being so I could get the original one remanufactured. The symptoms after this alternator issue were that the engine would idle a little low at around 750rpm and the lights would dim when at idle. The known-good alternator resolved the dim lights issue, but the idle remained a little low.

Fastfoward to tonight. I'm driving home like normal, and while the idle is a little low when stopped, the motor is running fine. As I was going over the last speed bump into my gf's place, the car died with a sound similar to the sound you get when you stall your car. I had the clutch pedal depressed and my foot lightly on the brake coming off the speed bump when it died. I coasted it to park and tried starting it again. The motor cranks just fine, so I know there is power to the starter. I checked all my ground wires and they are connected securely, as well as the alternator plugs.

I'm thinking maybe my fuel filter is clogged which would cause a low idle if partially clogged and no fuel to reach the motor now maybe, or possibly bad spark plugs. I'm at a loss for this could really be since I have no tools available to me here so I can't pull an injector to see if fuel is getting that far. Anyone have any ideas?

Cliffs:
93 del sol si with B18a1
idled low around 750 rpm and had dim lights
replaced failing alternator with known-good unit
lights are bright, but still idles around 750rpm compared to the 900 before
pulled into parking lot and motor dies, cranks over to try and start but will not start

damn...time to get some royalties Thayne
Watermarks are your new best friend

I mean at least with the cluster rings it was the right product that was picture and in fact you bought it from them...they just didn't ask

but these aren't even the same ones...and you're already retrofitted in it too.

I know rareeg2 with the gold sol was recently a victim of a pic of his car used in a ebay auction ad (not the first time either). It was for a type r style lip which he doesn't have on his car :thumbown: I mean if you're going to steal a pic, can it at least contain the product you're trying to advertise with it?

that may be the case, but it sounded like it was struggling at that point, where at 900rpm (where it idled before this happened) it sounded totally normal. I've got it narrowed down to an ignition problem, so I will begin by verifying that the alternator is charging properly (battery is fine, so it seems to be), then I will check the plugs to make sure they aren't fouled up, then the plug wires, and finally the distributor. I have a feeling I just need a new coil and plug wires though lol
