To fit del Sol seats in the EG, I swapped out the outer rails, So I'm goessing if u do that to the GSR seats u should be cool...my friend had those seats in his Sol, but I didn't like them, they sat too high and it doesn't feel right...

X2

bolt location and angle of the tabs make del sols different from eg/dc/ek

the bracket I had was made for eg/dc and was absolutley useless in mounting my seats in my car had to go custom/get creative with the oem del sol rails/sliders/brackets...

but some people get away with it by drilling holes in the floor and using a bolt adn nut

i agree about the outer rail, cause thats the one with the different tab in the back that won't mount

del sols seats are nice in other cars cause they sit low, but any other seat in a del sol are gonna be high...guess the lowest oem ones is s2ks?

my buddy had eg seats in his del sol , bought my old seats cause there was no way he was rocking those and didn't want to find another set of oem seats for it..

would love to see some mf8s on your car just to see...or maybe even work emotions?

or now that you tried diamond black, how about a set of mag blue TEs? or ce28ns?

ya the thing about time attack is if you can make the red lip work with your car (black or red car or champ white car with small red accents like emblems, tow hooks, seats?) then , but otherwise i can agree its played out...

but thew new limited time attack with white is nice too on the right cars...mostly on white cars obviously...

seen a lot of dc2s with the diamond black TEs that really did me in for the color...looks amazing with the decals and everything to set it off...DB is the new TA for me imo

thanks man, next set if I stay gold will be one piece with no polished lip, bronze, or something redone and matched in white...

eta? by next spring to be rolling on something new...also because I need new tires and don't want to replace mine but rather just buy new tires for new wheels also want something that will "perform" a bit better with more sidewall too...
i think gold wheels on my car would be "too much", as in, im trying to match too much and also be too much gold, so its kinda tough cuz i like gold wheels too lol..

yeah, my paint does have sort of a bronze-brown-ish shade to it in person, but also changes under certain lighting, etc..

MF8's would be cool, but i just cant see 16" wheels on my car..at least, not anytime soon..

agree with you on the matching with the TA and DB wheels, etc

cant wait to see the next set of wheels on your car, what size are you going with?

ya most gold wheels are on the bright yellowy side while your car is on the darker brownish bronze so it would be too different gold and probably too much...

i've probably talked to you more in the past than anyone that I'd "have" to go with 16s since my 17s now are too big and 15s would be too small

so ideally 16s - mf8s? (mf10s if 5 lug) mr5s (rare ) or if I stick to volk before I get a pair of mugens, some gram 57cs? ce28s? or I'd love some gold rgs to be like top fuel

but if push comes to shove and can get a good deal on 15s I like, I might settle...think some sets I could pull off while others will look awful and small...tire size might make or break it too...

love to be the next owner of "RARE_EG2s" old MF10Ls
hey what do you know, I have a sol

even if not yours since you said they have a buyer waiting, H8 O ATE has a set for sale that look awfully nice, and seen plenty of bnib sets fs now and in the past as well

but they are 15s and I'd rather do a set of 16 mf10s in white and put stickers (w/o the L of course) but with the cost of refinishing and going 5 lug (not practical in other apects like racing with my slicks and all) it would be a big investment

anyways, lot to think about with a lot of options and time...just gonna see what pops up...just in dire need of something different/new...

didn't a bunch of people use your face as their avatar for a couple of weeks? LOL

Just got back from picking my parts up at Honda. The parts guy ordered me 16 exhaust valve seals lol, and i exchanged the d15 head gasket for a z6 one cuz i dont like those graphite kind.
I shoulda went with a y8 gasket cuz i guess they're cheaper but oh well.

All parts should be here tomorrow and i can start reassembling the sohc.

Thanks for the tips guys. The seats in my car are crap. Maybe I'll just get seat covers just to drive it home.

I agree GSR seats suck in a Sol. But maybe if you were 5'4" , it might fit you well.
