That sounds like a plan. Besides it's black so you can't go wrong! Again good to hear you're absolutely fine considering the crash.

Guten Tag Tobias!

Welcome to the thread.

And you don't need to apologise for your English, you probably know better english than a few people on Honda-Tech.

And if anyone gives your sh*t for having 17's, let me know and I'll them.

I didn't even notice those were 17s. Now I can't help but see it. It doesn't look as bad as usual though. Not my favorite, but it pulls it off.

Samba_Sol speaks better English than a lot of the board.

Why do all the decent people with nice cars end up wrecking? Never the ******** instead.

nix94delsol, if you were as attached to your car as I was to the Civic I crashed, I'd save a piece. I still have the front side molding piece from the front fender. I miss my first baby.

My pics are on page four at the bottom if anyone wants to know how a 6th gen coupe stands up against a two foot wide concrete pillar to the face.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2105500

Anyone else want to add their pics? Not just for the morbidly curious, but it kind of makes you stop and think about driving stupid (even though not everyone in that thread was driving stupid).

Most 17's do not look good because most people don't have a sense of style. If you pick the right rim, it will look good and you'll gain the extra handling advantages that a proper lightweight 17' rim can provide.

That rule isn't always canon, but I see where you're coming from. I already posted pictures of my Sol before and after. God that period sucked.

Sean (broketuner-Si) I'm sure could tell you how to take em apart and re seal them. Don't worry it's fixable.

I suddenly had the urge to dumb brake fluid or something on the curb. But I'm in WA and some hippies might jump me.

More than evident just driving down the road. Most people can't pick out a fitting set of wheels or drive. Therefore there's a bunch of ugly curbed wheels out there.

One of mine looks curbed now because I got four nails in my tire and had to get it patched. When they removed the tire they put a few gouge marks along the edge of the wheel (It IS NOT a rim! A rim is a part of a multi-piece wheel! /pet peeve).

Oh, and you can all call me Amy or Amelia. Whichever you prefer. I tried to start going by my real name, but Eran keeps introducing me as Amy.

Ok no need to be OCD on me. There are therapies you know.

But if we are to totally anally retentive, some will say ( ... all we know is he's called the Stig!) that the wheel is the alloy + the tire together. Others will say that the alloy (or wheel if you prefer) is part of the suspension. I can't remember the precise terminology in the English language but some Engineers do see it that way.

I just call it a rim since this is a publicly viewed forum, with a largely U.S. based online population and "rim" is a socially acceptable term in 'argo' or slang (again for you non Europeans).

Nice to put a name to a screen name Amelia. Sorry but we already got an Amy on board.

james.

Oops... I actually didn't even notice you called it a rim. It's just something that usually gets to me. People call them rims at work all day long.

So oddly enough, the rim comment wasn't even towards you.

Don't you know del Sols are girls' cars? We should trade.

Not sure if I should post my car in here. Speaking of which, I haven't whined much today about not having the blueprints so I can get brackets made so I can put the rear lip on so I can put the front lip on so I can show everyone what the '98 front lip looks like and finally find out what people think of it.

all you need to know will be posted in a how to very soon

in the mean time what you can do is stick a blowdryer where the lightbulb goes and dry them out....unless you mean they yellowed up on the exterior, in that case just use meguiar's plastx

See what I mean? I really want to put the lips on. I'm waiting on someone to send me blueprints for the brackets for the rear lip though. My front lip is just too chunky to ride without the rear. And honestly, I want to know what the entire thing looks like on a car finally.

This is before I had some things painted too. Front bumper, grille and sideskirt on this side have all been repainted since this photo from May.
