We all gotta go sometime right? Streetracing kills a small handful of people worldwide, whereas other stupid things we do (and I'm not going to say what because people will get Butthurt) kills a thousand times more.

And here's a little story from when I was in the Military. I was stationed in the Medical Unit of the Greek Army, and although we are at peace with zero hostile engagements, 22 guys from different bases were reported dead from various things such as accidents on base, at home during leave, even drunk driving.

But one thing bothered me the most. There was a Lieutenant who was walking in downtown Athens shopping for something for his wife when a random chunk of concrete fell off a balcony above just 1 story up and killed him. The man was young and healthy with a bright future ahead of him. Eventually you're gonna go. And if you're the religious type, then God wanted you up in heaven.

Lifes short. Live it.

60 more hp doesnt always mean faster...so far I've beaten 2 s2ks in a 1/4 from a dig. I know its FASTER,i've driven it..but still..not to the point where its worth it. Not to mention the del sol feels twice as torquier,but on the highway..the s2k is a whole nother story.

6 speed is nice no doubt..but then again you swap a K and have the same luxury plus you're running low 13s,12s easily all day.

Hids..cmon now..too easy..

I love the fact that the top fold down at the touch of a button yes,but then again,you have the fear of someone cutting it up to steal ur seats or what not,not to mention noisy rides on rainy days/highway

you can make 350hp with the del sol for much less money and be faster.

so now you're down to two main factors..rwd..the tires/rims...

cant do much about those..but rwd is overrated anyways,and as far as myself personally..I doubt I can afford s2k rims/tires with the note/insurance..although without a doubt,its possibly the sickest looking car ever if done right,minus a ferrari or something IMO.

the del sol is cheaper to mod/own/maintain..you can drive the **** out of it without worrying about breaking **** because you know you or one of ur friends has extra parts lying around
s2ks are are a pita to work on for the most part since everything seems to be done from under the car.
its much less roomy inside although its comfortable..but roadhead is questionable..

I LOVE s2000s..dont get me wrong,but since we all ready have del sols..its not enough to warrant the cost diffirence..might as well bust out a lexus or something if you wanna go big.

ah, i'm glad not every accident involving street racing kills somebody. good thing hospitalization is no big deal, nor are comas, or other injuries that could put you out of a job. statistics are worthless

Most accidents are either work related or happen at home. Where by the way the only person street racing is your 4 year old son with his Hot Wheels.

Most accidents on the road are caused by DRUNK driving. Not racing. The stats can be found anywhere.


BTW Notice how Germany has no problem by having no limits on it's highway (Autobahn) yet has over 200 deaths on the Nurburgring which is a TRACK.

which is why i'm an advocate of extended jail time on first time offense for a DUI along with a suspended license for a minimum of 1 year.

and i go racing full aware that i could die and that it is one of the most dangerous things I do. I don't prepare myself with that mentality when i go to the store to buy eggs.

Thats where me and you are different. I'm scared everytime I turn the ignition which is why I wear a seatbelt... why I constantly check my mirrors when I drive... which is why I check my brakes are in good order... **** happens Jon. A car is a 1 ton hunk of metal thats bolting around town with a good amount of power you gotta be responsible and careful at all times - even when you're getting Eggs.

LOL that was funny... cruise control can actually get pretty aggressive, it'll give probably about 80% throttle if it's going up a steep hill
