Wow
I think for a show car the finish is great.
Still not my style though. (thank god I grew out of that before I had money)

meh.... i've got no problem with them. i don't think they've hurt 'real' wheel manufacturer's market whatsoever. i would buy a set of rotas, but i would never waste my money on a set of 'real' wheels. i'd say that the same goes for 99.999% of rota owners as well. the only thing that rota seems to affect are the egos of the owners of 'real' wheels.

i didn't have a problem with Rotas when they first came out. then they started copying more and more wheels and now almost everyone with Rotas, Drags, Konigs, and anything replica thinks they're hard **** because they're rocking wheels that look legit. no offense to anyone in this thread who owns a set of the aforementioned brands.
Rotas: pimpin' made easy? LOL, not.

you shouldn't even mind these kinds of people, macho.

When I first stated, I rocked Rota because that was all I could afford. Then I started saving up a little bit more and bought some real wheels and have not looked back since then. I have no problem with ROTA's, Drag's, Nippons, etc. but it's when people try to fake the funk to impress people by saying they are real wheels like TE37's by putting on the stickers on, then it bothers me.
As for the wheel industry, I think it sort of does hurt the value of the real wheels because less people will go out and pay lots of money to get a real wheel design they like when they can buy the fake ones for less.

well i found this very interesting pic...i hope Chris (Sarge) doesn't mind.
of course i'm in the pic, chris, and his gf...damn my paint was really clean

i have to say I felt lost without tow hooks
i think almost all the sol owners had one or two except for me

ya know at first it didn't even matter to me. then i realized that more people started faking the funk and thought they were hard. that kinda stuff gets annoying. it's like someone who tries to expletive with you with their beater *** car while driving...at first you get a good laugh out of it, but eventually it pisses you off.

couldn't agree with you more.
oh, and Jon you're probably right about Rotas not hurting the market for manufacturers of real wheels because most of the wheels Rota copies are already discontinued. Rota hurts what i call "the desire to own a set of original rare wheels" more than anything.

that just means more high brand name rims for you then
think about it, EVERYBODY remembers your car, right? how many people actually remember somebody with replicated parts?

i agree with you more.. i totally agree with you on everything.. i dont have a problem with rotas what so ever. i went through the same thing, bought a few sets of rotas (
) then eventually saved up and upgraded to something real,
