Damn...Is the DB1 the most popular car to jack out in cali or something?...saw a guy a few pages back saying he didn't want to do anything to his for that exact reason

 

Well guys i havent posted in here in some time now. I still havent got my DB on the road yet. Ive now had both of my backup daily drivers crap out on me. The eg sedan wont start and have spend almost $300 trying to get it to start and got nothing. And the 89 legend coupe has all but caught fire! Legend hasnt run for almost a year, maybe i shouldve left it that way. Now every damn seal in the thing has gone out and i'm going through a qt of oil every day trying to fix all of the different leaking gaskets!!

But on another note, i'm possibly looking to trade off my Volks for something new! Havent rode on 15's for some time, but i may have to see if i like them! Whatcha guys think?

thanks brotha. yeah long time no see. cant believe your db1 is still down. just sold the black db1 and got the LS. gonna start doing some VIP **** to it. yeah ian has been on the downlow lately and has a little project that he gots coming around. ill keep u up to date on it.


its not just the db1's, its pretty much anything honda related. but DA/DB1/DB2/DC2 have been getting jacked alot lately. too many little kids running around trying to be jdm and what not but at the same time cant afford building there cars with their own money and hard work. that's why i stopped going to meets as well. your pretty much letting any would be thief check your car out without thinking twice. i'm not young anymore but i try to stay up with the scene. but lately the scene has been more about low offset and a riding dumped. im pretty much over that already. thats why i went back to standard offset and decent aggressive stance. function over form all day. damn i went off on this didnt i? haha!!

That sucks bro...shitty you had to part ways with your black DB1 due to other peoples stupidity, but it's like they say you can't fix stupid...Yea I have been running standard offset and just want something different for awhile that's why I'm going to low offset, but I must say I loved the BBR competitions on your car....but on another note I picked up a stock 92-93 front lip, stock headlights, and some brand new mudguards for $50...not bad at all

 

Yeah this economy drop has really got me scraping around for money lately! I cant afford to do anything apart from bills and daily expenses. That and now my two daily drivers have both crapped out on me so i gotta dump more money into them just to get them running before i get the DB fixed.

Cant wait to see what you've got instore for the LS and what Ian's working on!!

heres my db1 had it since dec 25. been waiting to get painted and with hopefully be painted by the end of march and be getting the motor back in.

i agree with you bout them not paying for there own parts out here in orlando more tegs get stolen out here than anything i been told many times that i just bought americas most stolen car.. they say the only thing savin me so far is that its an automatic. but i dont believe that crap yea its not as easy to push it away but they both steal the same way lol so i have done a stealth alarm install that took me 3 damn long days to finish and it was just with a basic alarm and a fuel cut off also stealth and ign cutoff also stealth so jhopefully mines wont walk away only way to get it i think is with a tow truck

 

just like gen 2 im a poor bastard lol this economy sucks and the 6 months i spent without working sucks even more so a job is a job and with 2 child supports its gonna b painfully slow for me to do up my db da latest thing i have dun to it so far was the alarm and today i put the coilovers in and dumped it but its wayyy to low so i gotta lift it a lil b4 i post pics

 

its not gona be painted like the engine bay. i picked it up like that the actual color im painting it is gona be black cherry. ive had to let it sit but now that i finally sold me ek coupe i can start on it and am very excited. the coupe was my first 2 door ive ever owned i enjoyed it much but it time to go back to another 4 door.

Saw a Mazda 6 the other day this color and fell in love too!! I've been out and about trying to decide what color i wanted to do my sedan. But i guess now i cant do mine the same color as you!! I was also thinking about Bitter Chocolate off the Nissan Cube

I agree! If i did paint the car that color i was thinking going with some polished CE28s!

The name of the color makes it sound like its straight up brown. But if you look at the color more its much more of a maroon to black cherry color with a hint of brown in the sunlight. Its really pretty cool! And i've really been leaning more towards that dark purple lately but cant seem to find quite the right color i want.

 

ive had my mind set on the color for a long time. i had owned a mazdaspeed6 prior to the civic and really wanted to get the black cherry but could not get it in what i wanted so ive set out on painting another car.this car is actually root beer color he lives in my area and is good friends with one of my friends never seen it in person but hear a lot of ppl say its poo brown. its also for sale to http://www.vadriven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334288
