LOL How long does it take each time you did it? Im asking cuz I have a GS-R one coming soon and wanna know what i'm in for. heh
Have a quick question, wanted to know since I'm getting a B18C-R in like 2 days can I use the alternator that comes with the engine or do I have to use my old one?

It's a bitch. Unless you have tiny Asian hands, it's very difficult to get your hand behind the cluster to properly remove the clip that holds the speedometer cable to the gauge cluster. I always cut up my hands when doing this. Everything else is easy.
However, I think you could disconnect the speedometer cable at the transmission and pull the cluster out far enough to remove the cable. I've never tried it that way, but I'm going to have to when I change out my fucked up speedo cable for my new one.

yes, be VERY careful when removing the cluster....the tip of my speedo cable broke off onto the back of my cluster and it wouldn't start after that unless i popped the clutch. i had to do that **** for like a week

i dont have a b16 so i dont feel comfortable testing that out.
why dont you swap it out and let me know and save me some money on a JDM cluster.
Because i would buy the JDM cluster just for the tachometer and keep my MPH's.

i used to love hitting 8200 rpms in my EF. those clusters just run out of space at 8000.
