anyone running Ksports on there DA..i found a GREAT deal on ksports..how do you like them?</TD></TR></TABLE>
yee! thanks.
I'm running em. Didn't like em at first, but now that they're broken in, they feel great. Really surprised since I got them SO cheap, they're not as nice as my Tein HAs, but cmon, you cant compare that.
One mistake I made was slamming it and riding on the softest setting for the longest time, as soon as I put it on stiffest, it made a world of difference.
These things dump you LOW, but keep the preload, it rides like **** without it. I take my car in the mountains alot, and it definitely hangs with the WRXs I go with

thats what i like to hear..but where im from..the biggest turns we have are on/off ramps lol what spring rates are u running..i was thinkin 12k front 9k rear i like a stiff ride but not bouncy. and i dont want to scrape on every bump.
EDIT: and what do you mean by preload?

I'm running on the shelf rates, not sure what they are, I bought them used with a couple hundred miles off a guy on here... It's a nice stiff ride, nothing ridiculously bouncy at all.
Just dont go too low, and you wont scrape on everything. I'm as low as I can go in the front while maintaining the preload. If you don't keep the preload, you can go lower, but like I said before, it rides shitty.
Preload is one of those things that alot of people will tell you doesn't matter, and I used to be with them. Until I decided to lower my car more in the front and break the preload. Now I am a firm believer that if you want the most out of your suspension, KEEP THE PRELOAD.
Basically what preload is, is keeping the spring snug between the two lower perches and top of the coilover, so it has no room to play, while there is no load on the car (while it is still in the air). Only use the bottom most perch to adjust height. Here, lemme see if I can find a picture to illustrate it...

In other words, the 2 adjustable perches that are snug up against the spring should be tightened together and stay snug up against the spring, so theres no room for play. The lower perch is at it's lowest setting right now, so if those were on your car like that, that's as low as it would go without losing your preload.
You'll find countless threads on H-T with arguments on whether preload is necessary or not, some say it isn't, some say to even go as far as to tighten the top nut as well as tightening the perches up to the spring.
Anyways. Yeah.

Does anyone have pics of how/if they installed the extra hardware pictured below that came with their Ksports. I'm guessing they're for securing the front brake lines, but not sure. And also, were you guys able to keep the adjustment ***** in place while driving or does it interfere with the hood? TIA.
thanks sixfiveoh for the littlw write up on preload, because my coilovers have alot of play so now i will adjust them up so now i dont have to ride around like im in a lowrider on hidrolics

This is as low as I can go in the front while keeping the preload. The back has alot more room to go down tho... weird how that works. Oh yeah, this was before rims and cut and polish on my paint.

and when I went really far down, and undid the preload

I know this isn't the DA squad area but
Welcome me, DAMN IT!
I just bought this a few DA's ago and I love it. This weekend I'll be throwing my Omni Sleeves and KYB's taking it about 2.25" I don't want to slam it I just want a nice stance. Also completing the brake upgrade to all around slot and cross drilled Brembo's.

I'll be puting my EG forks with KYB AGX's in front and KYB GR-2's in back. sitting on Omni Power Sleeves.

And now my da looks like this.
To Highschool salary.

Im thinking an H22 swap is in its future.
