People say the same thing about carbon fiber but like you said it looks cool, it's all relative I guess.

LoL Oh, you mean besides the fact that lets say a carbon fiber hood weighs 20 + lbs less than a normal OEM hood, right?
Guess that would be functional, right?

20 pounds are about as functional as the miracle x bar, there both nominal in there effect on performance.Either can be construed as a waste of money is all I was saying

20lbs was a rough estimate however you'd be surprised if you actually knew the difference that makes.

For all the road race guys, how many of you use the Miracle X bar? OR how many cars do you see with it?

If you really want to stiffen up the chassis put a cage or even some bolt-in(as much as I dislike bolt-in stuff) bar in the car.
Was at a meet last night and there were 6 GTI's with bars in the car, all of which were stock motors with bolt ons, when asked, NONE of them track the car. Just seems to be the new trend to look cool I guess.

Just trying to help you and point you in a better direction.

Someone want to do me a HUGE favor? I need to know the colors for all of those couplers that look the same on the obd1 da9 harness. If someone has it in their heart to walk out into the garage and scrawl down some wire colors for me so I can identify which coupler goes where, that would be AWESOME. I have my harness done but I don't know which is IAT, coolant temp, etc etc. They're all two pin round cylinder-like couplers.

As soon as it stops raining I can snap a few pics. Can't think of colors off the top of my head. For some reason green and coolant temp sensor come to mind but that could be made up, lol.

Why not grab a multimeter and trace it out?

i definitely feel you on that one, im hoping to get some 19's, not really sure what wheels i get, worse case i'd pick up the stock 19" rays forged that come on g35's and call it a day, hopefully repainting my car within a year

Sadly, I do not have a multimeter at home. Plus I would have to have the pin outs for all the plugs where they meet at the firewall. I mean even if you pop your hood and just write down some wire colors for me. I have all grey plugs now so I just need the wire colors.

I have a carbon fiber hood and hatch so if ur right then it does have a weight saving and I don't wanna spoil it with 50+ lbs of scaffolding that may or may not be any more useful then my 350$ X bar.

It's a catch 22 for sure!
What's the purpose of the x bar?

Cage completely changes the car. I have several friends whose weld-in cages completely changed the handling characteristics of the vehicle.

Most likely since it's an LS it's probably the ls YS1:

Yea, I think the splines are different.

In all the yacking I missed it, sure others did too.
Be easiest to use mph and rpm in like 5th gear, cruising.
I have a B16 YS1:
