How is it "technically" a Honda??? I would think it would be the opposite. "Technically" it's an Acura, becuase most of the stuff on the car says Honda. The only thing that makes it Acura is the name of the dealership and the make on the pink slip. It doesn't say "ACURA MOTOR CO" on your engine. it doesnt say "manufactured in Japan by Acura motor CO. LTD" So...the car is a Honda, but it's "technically an Acura." It's not just a Honda in Japan...ITS A HONDA EVERYWHERE ELSE BUT NORTH AMERICA.

werd up brahhh!!!!!
does anyone know why ACURA was created in the first place?

Ok so you like your 3 Peice Headlights, Large *** Moldings and a Stock LS. Looks Like you Really like them Acuras HAHAHA Theres a USDM Version for Ya</TD></TR></TABLE>
no, i didnt say that at all..... dont take what i said out of context... there is some JDM Honda stuff that is way nicer than that of the "Acura" i didnt say that, but door mouldings arent put on car for looks, its actually meant to bring a "door ding resistance" to the side panels... so i will kepp my USDM side mouldings... as for the LS... for what the cars were originally meant for... reliability and good gas mileage... the LS is a good motor.
In all, if the ****** thing is RHD it can have a "H" badge on it, if its LHD IMO it should still bear Acura on it... but just my opinion

True. Also Acura was created as a way to trick the mainstream American. In the 1970's and the fuel crisis, Japanese cars began to compete for some of the domestic business. To counteract this, Japanese cars were stereotyped as "cracker boxes" and looked at derrogatorily. In the late 80's when Honda had plans to go full scale and built plants in North America (creating investment and jobs), they were badged as an unheard of company called ACURA. Americans to this day do not know that Acura is Honda, and they dodge the 30 year old stereotype of Japanese cars being inferior.
