Truth, especially if you're out of the Los Angeles area. So far it's been on okay out here in Santa Barbara.

If I needed it I would. Right now I have a BDL 68mm and its been sticking for a while. Since I have a Victor X mani I'm at least going with a 70mm, thinking about buying the Omni one, it looks legit for $99

Gotta love L.A.

Gotta love UCSB too...Couches on fire on Del Playa, some dude on a bike that delivers kegs, the bagel cafe, burritos from Freebirds, Pizzas from Woodstock's

lol i posted my questions up a while ago, not recently, but if you got time to school me here are my plans and goals. first of all its stock motor, 257,xxx original miles, it runs strong and has no problems other than an oil leak from the cam seal so im not even sure if it would be a smart idea to boost such a high mileage motor, my goals in terms of whp is in the 250-300 range with stock internals. do-able? can i even tune with obd0? going to be a street car, i just wanna know i have the power available if i need it.

its def. doable on stock internals. but with that much mileage i'd highly recommend a fresh rebuild of the bottom end first. after that, a decent turbo setup, fuel pump and injectors, and a good tune you should be able to reach 250ish on around 10-12 pounds or so

If you really want it to be reliable, rebuild it...It may seem to run strong but at the end of the day it has 257,xxx miles on it lol...Have you done compression or leak down on that motor to see how strong it really is?

The 250-*300*whp part is a little high for a stock ls...the head doesnt flow that well..

And the obd0 you can tune but, really just spend $200 get a jumper harness and a p28, your tuner will be much happier and you will to...The car will run alot better and will make better power due to tuning advantages

And to Hydro DA, you get what you pay for.............. Power doesn't come being cheap, we see that time and time again.

Follow JJ's advice, oh and fix your cam seal if its leaking!

haha, thanks guys. well i just turned 18 in october, no job, no real income, so as soon as i find something ill start piecing together my set up. i haven't done a compression or leak down test, but i do plan on rebuilding the bottom end. Oh one more thing.. i wanna keep my a/c and 91 front bumper WITHOUT hacking it all up. am i crazy for thinking its possible? **flame suit on**

jj....you can easily make 250-300 on a stock ls. i've seen it done several times. if you look in the turbo ls thread, there are guys in there who have hit 400 on a bone stock motor already, although most of them stay in the 250-300 range. just saying its done on the regular, thats all. but, definitely rebuild that motor first since its got 257xxx miles on it! lol

goooood luck. its one hell of a tight squeeze in a da's engine bay. not saying it cant be done, but it wont be easy. as for the bumper, it all depends on what intercooler you go with
