Its not the smog shop man,Cali is trying to do away with older cars and Honda's all together. Even tho your car passes smog, the state is going to fail it no matter what. Get it tested again and if it passes, take that paper to the press. Unless the shop got in trouble for passing it seeing you are boosted.

that's some shady ****! I've heard that cali is trying to get rid of older cars but last i heard the bill hadn't passed. i also know that they want to make smogs mandatory every year, and more expensive for cars 15 years and older

That's the thing YOU ARE following what everyone else does. Go look through the appearance section for 10 minutes and you will see that.
There is a thread dedicated just to those wheels "that aren't made for a fwd car"
1,000's of people on h-t have stickered lips, wings, hood, interior

You say people like me keep you going. That's all well and good sir but in the end you're still just like everyone else weather you want to accept it or not. The car is clean for sure. Just not my style. It has to get dropped further to even begin to pull off those wheels though.

That's ironic that you guys are so close by, I was also gonna pull out my phone and go on honda-tech, but response varies. So I just enjoy the area, and I do notice the mall. Was gonna check it out but girl got tired.

91sedan_kid sorry to hear about your tag issue and I can't help much. I understand that the shop and dmv are not complimenting each other very well. Don't know if you know this already or not, but I'll just put it out. If you failed a smog test, you can file for an extension, so you wont get fine for overdue.

Well to put it simply bro, I am a college student with not a ton of money, trying to make my car look decent and get into the scene.. If I was doing what everyone else did, my accord would have a 94/95 front lip, it would be on 16's slammed, I wouldn't have the can muffler, and probably not the stickers. Some people are always going to have the same thing since we are talking about material items.. I like brightness, that is why my interior got sticker bombed. My room is orange, green, blue... I went the sportmaxx wheels b/c yes they are cheap, but I wanted to go with a wheel people say are hard to pull off. I don't see many cars sitting with a rake on them, they are ALL SLAMMED like you want.

Thanks, I understand its not everyones style but as far as ACCORDS go it is decently different. Thats the thing. Go browse an accord forum for 10 min and you will see how much sh#t I have got for not doing what they all do.

Give the DMV a call, they should have your information since they issued you a permit.. and YES you need the permit to take the license test. Goodluck bro

in the accord scene he is different. every accord that's tuned is running 17s or 18s that are 9-10 wide and offsets lower than +25 with wicked stretched and pulled fenders. you pretty much have to be dragging your oil pan and your mad tyte jdm sir, greddy gracer, or 94/95 lip to be accepted in the cd5/7 community. for that matter he doesn't even have sir or depo headlights, or de-ambered tails so he isn't buying into the **** everyone else does....nor am i

^ They are 15x8 +15mm on a 190/50 Falken tire brotha

And just for the record, what isn't styled around a "fad" ? I mean its either rice, or your following a fad... I understand where you are coming from but it also doesn't make much sense when you think about it. My Accord by no means follows the "accord" fad. So in that fact it is different. However, I understand its the 'same' as alot of cars on here. Ya I like the style of low offset, the can on the back, fell in love with teh rear visors, and I have already told you about the brightness for the stickers. I do what I LIKE when I see it. And I put it together on my car. But thats the same for EVERYONE. Go look at Mustang Gt's - they all follow similar 'fads' too. Or the whole 'prerunner' crew, I used to be into that...

Im just saying my own car is unique in the sense its a cd5 to begin with, not a civic. Its unique in the sense I am running 15's many say are too small, but id***, I think my car looks great in person, and many of the locals at the shops and such have nothing but compliments for me. I always understand there are 'haters' not directing towards you, but when you put it in perspective, we are ALL following fads. Look what we wear. Go into a mall, plads, button downs, old school is all coming back. 5 years ago bright plad outfits were to be laughed upon. Fads run America.. its a business that we ALL buy into.

I feel you man. I had just got my swap a little over 2 years ago,i got it bard (smog as well as they need to do so) and it passed with flying colors. About a month later,i get that paper in the mail saying i need to smog again. So i go and get it smogged and the guy at the shop says the state has my car down as DNP (DO NOT PASS). I call DMV and the DOT and they said it was a new law that helps take older cars off the roads. I say "but i just got a new motor and past the smog at the bar' and i showed them the papers, they look at it and say that just because i got a newer motor in it and it passes, its still an old car and the state don't want them on there streets. After fighting like i was Rocky, they sent me to a (TEST ONLY) shop (where they do the same **** but charge you an arm and a leg) and they passed me after telling me i needed a GSR cat instead of the OE LS one, don't know what that was about as they should all be that same **** right?

he isn't at stock height to begin with so he'd litterally be dragging his unibody rails if he went down 2". and he isn't rolling on stock sidewall sizes or + sized wheels.
