ok nice ..I am gonna change the color of my wheels I'm not feelin' the gold...from a far glance you would think I'm driving a WRX

 

Just powder coat and call it a day. some say you shouldent sandblast alluminum but just ask if they have a softer media they can use.

my powder coat guy sandblast/powder coat for 120$ (4HX 14'' rims), youll be much happier.trust me.

 

its not hard to paint the wheel and have it look clean, just give it a good sanding, some primer, paint, and clear coat should be no problem

 

But it honestly dosent last as long...rocks and debris will start to chip it eventually.

At least have a shop mix you a single stage 2K paint at a paint store. thats not as much as powder coating but at least it a urathane.

 

I'm just sticking to a budget for now, that's why I wanna do it myself...I am gonna do it probably this Sunday.

i've never had any problems with chipping paint

 

Sold it like an idiot because it sat for over two years not being used and my cousin made me an offer i couldn't refuse lol

 

You can always trade wheels, usually value goes down when you paint wheels I've been tempted to paint mine white but I'm just gonna sell them and try to get some buddy club wheels soon

Yeah it was a nice looking radio, but honestly this one has way better sound quality then the previous radio. I will miss the touchscreen and being able to play mp3's and dvd's though.

 

1 can primer 1 can paint 1 can clear..i dont know why people need to use so much..

 

I only used 2 cans of paint (still have some left over) one can of primer filler and one can of clear to redo my work wheels. I'm gonna get them powdercoated now because of the finish i want and order new gold bolts. Total cost was $31 with materials lol

It depends on the weather but one day might not be enough time for the paint to cure

 

well projected weather for Sat is sunny 81 and Sun sunny 80 i think i can do it in one day

 

takes me maybe 2 hours with my dual 1000watt lamp over it haha.

Well took the civic back apart for the winter. Ordered some expandible sleeving to cover the wires for the engine wire tuck. Also its been awhile since I've been on here, picked up a carbon fiber trunk, blox lca, and a jdm steering wheel.

 

I was under the impression that aerosol paint dosent ever "cure" like a real automotive solvent based paint, it only drys.
