the omni powers are about an inch shorter than his old tein basics so when he slapped them on the front of his car was tucking a good amount of tire, i imagine he's been scraping the **** out of his intercooler piping hhaha

what's up BNB? I have some questions. I have been searching but I figured with the amount of knowledge here in the crew I am sure someone has done what I need to know. Ok I have an opportunity of getting an 88' EF Hatch the body is clean. Now I have my 90' LS B20 Am I able to do a straight forward swap over..meaning taking what I have from my current ride and swap into the hatch. I wanna see if it's worth it and then sell my 90' LS shell. Any help appreciated. (don't hit me)

it wasnt too low just had a little bounce to it while driving and i really didnt like it so i raised it just to the point where the coil is touch the tophat. or really close to it.

i cleaned mines a little bit before putting them on so its pretty easy to adjust.

just so your aware.

the motor WILL fit BUT WILL NEED MODIFICATION. your your going to need shift linkage, and mounts. also will need to bang the back so the alternator will fit. its not going to be a straight drop in and go.

Hasport makes mounts and shift linkage for the swap your planning on doing and i say spend the money and get them, its worth it.

you will definitely love the power in the hatch then you will in the integra.

I had a B20Vtec EF hatch and it pulled pretty hard, even with an LS tranny.

Can't i just use the linkage I have...I am trying to use as many parts that I already have as possible then when funds are better I can upgrade the motor mounts. I only have about 1,300 bucks to play with and I might have a mechanic buddy help me out so I would have to hit him off , plus the car is $800

you gonna need swap mounts and linkage period. dpfi to mpfi wiring. everything else can be used from the DA.

for me there was problems with the manifold gasket and the idle was fluctuating along with transmission problems. For you you're taking your swap out of a running car and just moving the whole thing so it should be ok, just get the mounts and shift linkage etc

thanks guys for the input. I'll have to wait right now $1,300 is not gonna cover what I want to do unfortunately. I'll just save up some more. thanks again. motor mounts $300 + shift linkage $150 + conversion harness about $175 = $675 roughly + $800 car = $1425.... and I still have to hit the mechanic off for 2 engine removals... oh well looks like I will have to wait.

or post the shell up right now so that you have a buyer ready to pick it up right when the motor is out

conversion harness?? the dpfi to mpfi?? thats so easy to do yourself with the stock hatch harness. takes me 30mins or so to do it. that saves money there. do your own work of engine removal and save money there. shift linkage can be shorten from the DA and used on the EF but has to be precised otherwise it will have alot of play. save money there. if you are serious i can ask around for some mounts for you from some friends.

word...dang I wish I lived closer to you guys or you guys closer to me. I don't mind doing stuff myself IF I had the proper tools...but I don't have a lift to get my engine out myself. ha ha takes YOU 30 minutes to convert it might take me a couple hours. lol. Ok so what I would really have to come out of pocket is for the mounts. hhmmmm let me rethink this.

you can either re-wire it yourself, or you can send your harness to someone and have them modify it, or you can buy the conversion harness like ry-wire sells. mounts you have to buy. plain n simple. linkage as was said, you can cut down the da linkage and re-weld it but you have to make sure its measured properly and lined up correctly.
