all i really wanted was to just have a car that can take out most people that pulls up to me on the freeway and what do MOST people have? a B swap.
A stock d16z6 has what 125hp? with boost i can push it close to 200-220 safely?
stock B18b1 has about 140? Gsr has 170? typeR 187? B20 146?
i can take them if not then atleast hang with them. As long as they cant outrun me im happy. Like i said im not looking to build a track car.
Also been looking for a complete motor and cant find any. If i do find some they are asking ridiculous prices or the motor just doesnt look trustable.
Everyone has a different way of looking at it. this is just how i look at it.

instead of buying the spooling quick4ac manifold i found one from ilovetacotaco page and it says "ac/ps" compatible. If it works i get to keep ac and didnt have to spend 400 for the manifold. if not then im removing ac anyways.

i have everything to boost a B series. I already ordered some of the stuff i needed to boost my D before i changed my mind. im ordering the last piece to boost my D tonight which is a manifold. If i decide to swap a B i would actully be spending more money and be stuck with useless D series parts.

Do you understand the difference between the powerband of a NA build vs a FI build?
When i bought this car i did not have any intention of swapping the motor out since it was a rebuild motor. I actully didnt have any performance plan for the car at all because i was unemployed and was really planning on getting outta of the game until i can find a good paying job. Got my old job back with a little of a higher pay and after driving the car i really missed the power. I mean come on, Boosted B to a stock D really sucked.
I love the power that my car gives off, i mean who doesnt? Im not building my car to race people on the freeway. Im not going to go out and look for people on the street to race, no im not that stupid. Im building my car to have the extra power, weather I swap in a B or boost the D it doesnt mattter to me i just like knowing that my car has the extra power. Since i had already planned to boost the D and had bought parts for it already it would just be cheaper to finish what i had plan rather than taking a different route and end up spending more money and being left with parts that i have no where to store.
you can look at it any way you want to but in the end the driver decision is the only one that matters.

I got a little bit done, I'm finishing adding the additional wiring onto my cluster, I still need to find someone who can print on vinyl decal material so I can add the icons to the warning lamps I added

post some dyno sheets, seems to me a fully built b18 is only good for 150tq but the powerbands are different from fi
just came back from Eibach it was pretty sick ... alot of Boosted GSR's. saw this crew from Vegas they had some pretty sick rides... i wasnt happy about the rain lol but dealt with it. iill have pics when i get my cpu back
i'm here but nothing to report. havent been able to do anything lately. the most i've done was top off my fluids yesterday and washed/waxed my car the other day. nothing exciting at all
