lol i been looking for anyone who has done a DIY for my year civic and i cant seem to find any. Imma just wait til my uncle has time to install it for me . I hate electrical stuff.

 

if thats ur best option do that man ... cause electrical is the worst part of a car in my eyes....

1999 Honda Civic DX

Bought the car pretty much stock for $1000

List of what Ive done already.
-Shaved antenna hole.
-Shaved engine bay.
-Shaved rear seat mounts
-Started on body work
-Pulled the motor out
-Pulled all the interior and exterior parts off
-Started drilling out the firewall

Still need to do list
-Get the firewall out
-Swap the RHD firewall in
-Prep the whole car for paint
-Order and install roll cage
-Get car painted
-Order wheels
-Build motor
-Put motor in
-Do my interior

I'm sure I'm missing much more on both list.



The day I got it... No mods this was how it was (z0mg the previous owner had RimZZZ)



What it kinda looks like now minus a few other things like my firewall is almost out.

I sure would like to see some photos of the fire wall, as you take it out. Are you using a honda body manual, or are you just winging it. If you need I can photocopy the body manual on the firewall. It tells you where every spot weld is. If I have a body manual for that year.

So i came up on some rims for the DA,they need a lot of TLC but nothing i can't handle. What color would look good on the car? Now the car is going to get lowered here soon,just shopping around first.



What i have in mind.
Polish them to a nice shine and leave them.
Paint them white again.
Paint them gold.
Paint them smoked color

Or what ever you think would look the best. Thanks guys.

honestly i'd say paint those wheels and sell them, drop your car, throw some hub caps on and save up for nicer wheels

 

Ultra wide angle lenses do that to images.

 

I have a d series already that I was going to do a vitara build on but If I have the extra money after this it will be either b16b,k20, maybe even a j32.

Basically winging it actually. My build thread is in my sig if you would like to see where Im at with the firewall Im stuck on which ones to drill out under the piece you take off where your fender rest on. Ive done 2 that I knew that had to be done but right there is alot of spot welds and its confusing..If you could show me which ones right here that I need to drill out would be a big help actually.



I dont really have any recent photos after I got it fixed after the front end got all new parts and resprayed after a truck ran the front end over " gotta love being low" but these were a few before the wreck and yeah I had a ****ed up front end already so when the guy hit me I was hell yeah! But here you go.

Bumper
Upper and lower grill's
Both headlights
both fenders
and hood

 

question, are you pulling the whole front off the car? frame rails?

i love tc's even tho i think they shoulda been rwd (toyota is such a disappointment since the supra left the market). you should get a lip tho!

 

Pulling out just the firewall and cowl

I agree 100% with that the car should have been produced rwd. But Im getting the Roof spoiler and RS1 lip kit but Im afraid that i wont be able to get out my drive way with out pulling the kit off because I already scrape coming out of the drive.

Gold or bronze. but i agree with DumaDA9. paint them and flip em for some cash and get some nicer wheels. either route is fine. completely up to you.

Thread has been popping since i was last in here. How is everyone? any new updates? as for me.. Been busy with work and cleaning up the ferio a bit here and there.

still cant seem to figure out why my powerlocks doesnt work but im hoping the alarm will fix it or maybe my uncle can find out why it does work since he has a ferio as well.
