how much are you paying for that? and is it the Jackson Racing one? becareful when you use any forced induction in a "stock" motor. you have to make sure your connecting rods (rods from crank to pistons) can withstand the constant higher rpm's and more hp/torque.
D series are generally rated to around ~250hp with ALL STOCK internals, including connecting rods.
before you introduce some FI to your motor, i'de recommend pulling your head/block apart, clean everything out, and check the valves for any crap on them. some head work should be recommended also. my point is, you need to get your motor into the best possible condition before using FI.
supercharging is WAY easier than turbocharging as far as installation/parts required but its still dangerous. put it this way, there is a reason MOST people dont turbo D series...if they do, they almost certainly are using LS connecting rods and Vitara forged pistons. the same should apply for supercharging.

alright im in a big debate with myself. Im putting a y8 head on my y7 with p29 pistons but im not sure if that will reach my power goal so ive been thinking on buying a few things for my setup and i need some opinions or advise. this is how my setup will look if i decide to get everything...
y7/y8 mini me
p29 pistons
skunk2 tuner series cam shaft
skunk2 adjustable cam gear
skunk2 or y8 intake mani
y8 throttle body
buddy club vtec controller
and basic bolt ons like 2.5'' exhaust, 4-2-1 headers, and CAI
Anyone with suggestions or opinions help me out! anyone have any idea what numbers this setup will put down? Keep in mind this is my first build so just bare with me if anything stupid comes up lol.

skunk2 cams for the d-series are pretty junk imho, it's the only thing I would change.
If you don't already have the y8 head you can grab a z6, then a zex (59300) or bisi cam. sticking with the y8 head I would go with a bisi regrind.
You send him the stock y8 cam and he sends you back a beastly one. I would go with the stage 2, it's quite a popular choice and decently affordable too.
Please don't take this as hating on your build, I've just seen serious results from those cams, and not really any stellar performance from the skunk2.
my only other reccomendation would be to skip the vtec controller and convert to obd1

I was gonna go with 15's but later on realised I would have to buy new tires to get the profile I want and I would have to sell my current 16" wheels; so I decided to keep the wheels and am going to look at some 205/50's this afternoon
cheapest place i've ever seen tires is either ebay, or this place > http://www.tires-easy.com/start.html
Tire Size Comparison
Specification * Sidewall * Radius * Diameter * Circumference * Revs/Mile * Difference
205/55-16 * 4.4in *12.4in *24.9in *78.2in *811 *0.0%
205/50-16 * 4.0in *12.0in *24.1in *75.6in *838 *-3.2%

JDM d15b comes in a variety of years and versions, the 2 I know of is the one that I have that came in the eg chassis that is obd1 2 stage vtec 130hp, and the other that came in the ek which is a 3 stage vtec and is 106hp, there is another one but its not vtec, not sure what year it came in though, I got my info from d-series.org.
since it was necessary to have the same video on this page 3 times, someone should click on all 3, lol.
i never dealt with that tire place, maybe i won't now that you said that...

exiting a taco bell here in Monrovia at the corner of Huntington/Myrtle, there is a little embankment while exiting out of one of their driveways and some early 90's truck was in front of me. i was a good 3 or 4 feet behind him and he starts rolling back, before i could put it in reverse he smacks me with his tow hitch...the passenger looks back and they smash out!
i COULD have chased, but they would have outran me, im more worried about the car than anything else. obviously no insurance or license but whatever.
i cant open my hood, when i pull the lever, it DOES pop up, but the underhood latch wont release or its pinched i dont know. how the hell can i open the hood? just pry and pry until it comes free? here are pics.
oh, good news is that Pick-a-Part is having a 50% off sale Friday! haha
