its not a question of if you can or not, its about why you would want to?
you are making that section of intake a choke point, taking in more air than it can efficiently expel.
and im for sure that i didnt pull the tb from an itr.

And crxvtec you are correct you wouldnt want to upgrade your throttle body on a stock d series manifold, there is no point in doing it you are correct.

how much are you paying for that? and is it the Jackson Racing one? becareful when you use any forced induction in a "stock" motor. you have to make sure your connecting rods (rods from crank to pistons) can withstand the constant higher rpm's and more hp/torque.
D series are generally rated to around ~250hp with ALL STOCK internals, including connecting rods.
before you introduce some FI to your motor, i'de recommend pulling your head/block apart, clean everything out, and check the valves for any crap on them. some head work should be recommended also. my point is, you need to get your motor into the best possible condition before using FI.
supercharging is WAY easier than turbocharging as far as installation/parts required but its still dangerous. put it this way, there is a reason MOST people dont turbo D series...if they do, they almost certainly are using LS connecting rods and Vitara forged pistons. the same should apply for supercharging.

only the d16's can use the ls rods, not the d15's. a stock d16z6 will handle a supercharger just fine. just make sure you get it tuned, all that forced air and not enough fuel will burn your pistons up. there's tons of guys in the forced induction forum with boosted d series engines. there's one that i can remember who used stock sleeves and made over 500 hp. everything else was forged of course, but still, thats prety impressive if you ask me.
It needed 45 series tires....new wheels...some camber...paint...and drop it on the FK's.
It was ok...but it wasnt a honda. The prelude is fun and i just gotta wire up vtec(f22b1 into the si) and figure out whats goin on with the EGR

Went to the JY and found a F22a4 was thinking of picking it up and rebuilding for boost =D. But since funds are limitted i will be building the A1 in the Spring and hope to have it ready by the Summer.
Wat up people. There some nice cars in this thread. I wanna rep the SOHC Squad. Heres a Most recent pic of both my hatches, the black and the green one. The black Si has a stock D15b2 lol but i have a jdm D15 vtec thats goin in. The green one will be for sale soon. Has a jdm D15 vtec in it but it still dual point injected lol. Just need to finish puttin back together. Ill get better pics of my hatch asap.
