I talked to him again last night about it and apparantly he wants to do both y8 vtec head and the intake mani and the computer, he said it would be a big improvement over not having vtec

ya it definately would help you out, i mean your adding vtec to a non vtec car, just make sure when you do it, you have your wiring all sorted out and such, ive driven both a y7 powered car and a y7/y8 mini me car and there was a little difference, not to much tho

Just get a JDM d15b vtec, you will notice a difference lol, what you should really do is a tranny swap! Makes a big difference!

do the s20 ex/si trans, the dx/lx trans have to long of gearing and are made more for gas mileage. You will notice a huge difference with that alone

and doing the mini me swap you will want to run the vtec timing belt as well. I put one together a couple years ago, it was a d15b2 block with a z6 head, it ran alright, i just slapped it together, only lasted about 500 miles and it blew up on me.

the 96-00 ex trannies supposedly are stronger than the 92-95 versions, less likely to start grinding in 3rd gear.

I got an si tranny but from a 88-91, but it grinds in 3rd gear so I bought another si tranny from a crx, only problem is that its a 21 spline so I gotta buy a new clutch and flywheel
