bryan's car is amazing looking. Minus the RHD and lip. Personally I don't like that large of a lip on a DA. Actually I think lips in general are out of control. People think they can get low offset wheels, not paint their moldings, get a CF lip and voila, baller DA.... imo, fail.

Not that I can talk, since my DA is beat... but getting better slowly... very slowly

Yeah, but people also do what others want to do. Style changes over the years, people hop on bandwagons...etc

Also, my comment wasn't so much directed on those items being bad, but that people now seem to focus on a couple aftermarket parts before they focus on the small stuff on their car. Like fixing body damage, painting wiper arms and windshield moldings so they're black again... not even to mention mechanical repairs...

Everyone talks about "doing their own thing" but I haven't seen anyone really do their own thing, 99% of the cars now are based on the same style although they may look a little different. It's pretty much always been like this.

okay now it is kinda hard to do something that much different when we all like the same cars... also people get so much hate when they do what they like. such as painting interior trim to match the exterior or putting ebay headlights and taillights on the car... I say if you like it then body kit the hell out of your car and paint it neon pink just finish your project and do it clean... there are "stupid" parts for our cars but someone will rock it... its like clothing, I wear guess and armani and stuff like that and I rock diesel shoes. you may like something else but that doesnt make me or you a "loser" or uncool. right?

Exactly. It's not that it's anyone's fault or that it's even a bad thing. We only have certain parts available unless you custom make everything. Plus Honda style is pretty much Honda style, can't get away from that.

It's just funny to me that people always get butt hurt if you don't like something they did. Clearly that's the way they want to do it, and you would have done it differently. What's so wrong w/ that? They always rep that they do what they like and they're being different... blah blah blah. No, you're doing the same main **** as everyone else, maybe tweaked a little. Don't make it out to be like you're some f'ing ground breaking innovator.

The strange thing is that this pretty much only happens online, people take things very offensively. Say the same thing to the same person actually in person while looking over a car and somehow it's simply regarded as personal opinion. And usually an interesting conversation takes place between the two people as they describe why they feel a certain way and toss back pros/cons to certain things. Usually a very civil and often enlightening conversation.

(it should be noted that my comments above are GENERAL and in NO way directed at any one person or this post or this forum, simply commentary on my experiences modifying cars over the past 10yrs)
